Description get ready for a reeeeeaaaaally long description of everything to do with the game:

first up, the controls and things you can do;
while looking around the room, left clicking the computer on the desk or pressing space will open the cameras (and press space to exit cameras), clicking under the desk or pressing Z will make the character hide under the desk (and press Z to stop hiding). when viewing the cameras, pressing W, A, S, or D will switch to the corresponding camera (the mouse cursor controls the direction the camera is looking, like in TJoC office, so you can't click the cams on the map), left click to fire the camera's grappling hook (yes, that's a thing you can do), animatronics will randomly start walking/crawling to an entrance, so you'll need to pull them back via the grappling hooks, but there are a few things you need to know about how they work; pulling an animatronic back all the way back won't stop them, you just need to hold them back long enough until they give up. when latched onto one, a meter will appear on the left side of the screen, with one large white section in the middle, and two small red sections at the top and bottom. move the scroll wheel up to make the meter fill up, and scrolling down will make it drop faster (it'll slowly deplete on its own). if the meter goes into the upper red section, you're pulling too hard, and the hook is about to lose it's grip. if it goes too low, you're not pulling hard enough, and the animatronic will continue crawling/walking to the door. if an animatronic does get past, then depending on who it is, you might be able to hide under the desk and avoid them. and yes, there is a power consumption, but the power will slowly go back up when you're not looking at the cameras.
p.s. as long as the meter is in either the white section, or the upper red section, it'll keep pulling the animatronic back, even if you're not looking at the cameras

Spectre Toy Freddy  (the brown square);
he'll enter through the middle door, and since he's missing his feet, he has to crawl, and he is the slowest out of all of them, but he has a really good grip on the ground, so it'll take longer to reel him back in too. if he does get past, he can see you from the door way anyway, so you're pretty much screwed, and even if you're already under the desk when he gets in, the distance and angle he sees you from makes it really easy to spot you, so you're dead either way. he'll also kill you if the power runs out (by doing his little music box thing, like in FNaF 1).

Spectre Toy Bonnie  (the blue square) & Spectre Toy Chica  (the yellow square) (they work the same, so i'll just refer to them as 'they');
they'll enter through the side doors (Bonnie from the left, Chica from the right), and they walk at the same speed, and get reeled back in at the same speed. if they get past, they still have to walk down the hallway to get to you, so you've still got plenty of time, but when get to you, they may or may not see you if you're under the desk (the angle they look at you from makes it more difficult to spot you, so there's a 50/50 chance of surviving).

Spectre Mangle  (the red square);
she's locked in the back room, so the only way for her to get to you is via the ceiling vent. she's also the fastest, but has a terrible grip on the ground (surprisingly), so she's also the easiest to reel back in. if she gets past (when she completely disappears into the darkness of the vent), you'll only have 3 seconds to hide under the desk, but since she's looking at you from above, the top of the desk will block her view, so as long as you're under the desk when she gets in, there's a 100% guarantee you'll survive!

Spectre BB & Cupcake  (the red/blue square and the pink square);
they'll randomly block your view on Bonnie and Chica's cameras (BB for Bonnie, Cupcake for Chica), however, they'll only prevent you from seeing, so you can still use the grappling hook, and you can also still see the edges of the screen, so if you're skilled enough, you can still stop Bonnie and Chica.
p.s. fun fact: BB and Cupcake are the only ones who don't have blood stains on their teeth because they were never meant to kill, just help Bonnie and Chica, and be scary.

Spectre RXQ  (the dark grey square);
like G. Freddy, he'll randomly appear in the office while you're looking at the cameras, standing in the corner of the room, so if you hear him breathing, pull the monitor down, and stare at him until he fades away. tip; he appears more often when you spend longer periods of time looking at the cameras.

Spectre Puppet  (the green square);
he'll only appear on night 5, and will be the only one active (along with RXQ). he'll take T. Freddy's place (and will move just as fast as him), but you'll need the grappling hooks from cams A, S, and D to hold him back; one on his neck, and one on each wrist (normally, Freddy isn't visible from cams A and D, but the puppets long arms sure are!). "wow, there's no way he can be more difficult than that!" i hear you saying, well guess what?; HE. NEVER. GIVES. UP. that's right, you'll have to spend the entire night making sure the three grappling hooks are in working order, avoiding RXQ, AND making sure you don't run out of power (if you run out of power, the puppet will kill you instead of Freddy, with a distorted music box).

if people want to know the story of the game, i'll edit this to include it

EDIT: people do want to know the story, so i'll write it now (as of writing this, it's only one person, but, i'll do it anyway, but someone else could've commented on this saying they wanted to know it too, but can't see it write now, because i'm writing this)

Story:
around the time of FNaF SL, William Afton was kidnapping kids and doing tests on them in certain rooms in the SL place (as seen on the map in the breaker room), involving Gas that makes you hallucinate (main nights in FNaF 4), simulating reality (8-bit minigames in FNaF 4), and actual dangerous animatronics (Fun with Plushtrap). but there's one other room which was either added on after SL, or it's just not shown on the map (i dunno which it should be), where they do a similar thing to what they did in Meteor 60 seconds (it's a game on steam, it's really funny); use VR to alter children's dreams, and in FNaF: TctL, you play as the victim, has who has been put in this virtual torture chamber, where Mr. Afton has created 8 Virtual monsters based off of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica (with her cupcake as a separate entity), the Mangle prototype (seen in the room in one of the Minigames of FNaF 4), the Puppet, and a new character; BB. these character designs were later used as inspiration by the company for the Toys in FNaF 2. also, before each night, there'll be a little minigame where you're in the kids bedroom, going against one of the characters (Freddy for night 1, Bonnie and BB for night 2, Chica and Cupcake for night 3, Mangle for night 4, and the Puppet for night 5). eventually, the kid escapes through the bedroom door, which somehow leads to the office, where the actual night begins.

to answer your first question; they're not actually the Toys. Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica were just designed by William Afton to resemble the original Freddy Bonnie and Chica, but not be 100% the same. Mangle was inspired by the Mangle found in the girl's bedroom in the FNaF 4 8-bit minigames, which was an unfinished prototype of a ver. 2 of Foxy. the Puppet was based off of the Puppet at what ever the place in the puppet's minigame from FNaF 6 was (i think it's safe to assume it was before FNaF 4/SL). BB was just a new addition who wasn't based off of anything. and RXQ isn't supposed to be in the simulation, he's just a glitch in the program. 4 years later, William used their designs as inspiration for the Toys.
to answer your second question; i never said it was the crying child, it's an entirely new victim of William Afton. did you even read the story?
