Due to Lethnura and Damu being the only male lions in the Desolate Isle, and Damu being universally hated, it was expected for Lethnura to be the mate of all of the lionesses when he came of age.
Besides Lethnura, there were six other cubs in the pride.
Two of them were hybrids, them being Njeri, a tigon who's mother was a member of the pride, and who's father had been murdered by Damu, and Oni, a liger, who' father was a former member of the pride that had been murdered by Damu. Her mother was a tigress, who had joined the pride to protect her daughter from the terror that was Damu.
Njeri and Oni were both in love with each other, and due to them being hybrids, the pride had doubts that they'd be able to have cubs.
Other than them, there, were four lioness cubs- Ajuma, Chiku, Adea and Amne.
Ajuma was already warming up to Lethnura, and Chiku had a huge crush on Lethnura since the first time she saw him.
Time passed, and Lethnura hadn't see or hear of Damu for a while.
He was stargazing one night, when Chiku arrived and confessed her love to him, and he nuzzled her in return. The two spent the entire night there.
Little did they know that they were in for a surprise the next morning.
