lol, hiding is shadows? I dont think so with those glowing crystals.

Yeah it does sound iffy but there is an explination to how he is capable of doing so without the glow giving away. usually the crystals are quite dim but his cutie mark is shared within his clan, they are blessed by a diety which they refer as the moon goddess (not princess Luna) which due to their dedicated faith they are shrouded in the viel of the moon goddess shadow. Because its magical by nature it does shroud even their scent. But there is mastery to be had with it and Zanon is still mastering it himself. Due to being such a coward he usually hides from danger or anything that can be a potential threat. even if his own imagination gets the best of him.

He is a colt, but does have a filly look to it. The fillys adore him and tend to dress him up since he does not seem to mind.
