Here's the finished piece! Easily my greatest challenge to date and one of the hardest pieces to ship that I've been commissioned for. I got attached lol. I also worked on this around 2 hand injuries, so just being able to finish was a great accomplishment for me!>>Created with chalk and charcoal on 11x14 Strathmore charcoal paper. Finished in about 120 hours.
I also used a toothpick to add tiny dots of white acrylic paint to get the bright sparkles in his jacket. You can see kinda how that's done here:

I..have..no words for this. This is one of the best MJ artworks I've ever seen. It looks so realistic and all the details are well defined. I also love how you did the hair, clothes, skin tight pants and the bandage! It almost looks like a photo! I even like the sparkles and the glitter. You made it look so realistic! It even looks like a photo! I first thought it was a photo, but boy, I realized it was a drawing. You have great talent my friend, and keep gracing deviantART with you talent and never stop being awesome.
Plus, this is a worthy picture to add to my favorites.

Beautiful work and exceptional quality. From the shine on his jacket to the curls on his head to the wrinkles in his skin tight pants, this piece in itself is a legend. Small imperfections here and there, though quite made up for in the overall impact of this work. The time spent is evident and I would say the clothes are defiantly the champion here, in that they help send this over the edge and into "Is this a photo?" territory, because that was most certainly my reaction. One thing i'm also impressed about is the fact the even injured you have created something so incredibly wonderful. The recipient should be most pleased.

It was definitely a challenge working around the injuries but I love being able to face challenges, especially in art, and learning more through the adventure of it!
