Thank you. I tried it before and really loved the way it looked, so it's kind of been adapted into my favorite medium. I'm glad you like it.

One thing that gets me are the eyes. Michael Jackson's eyes tell the story. You really never knew what Michael was really feeling. Was he serious? Was he sad? Was he lonely? His facial expressions are too ambiguous to interpret properly in portraits, but you did a very nice job capturing his look and the emotion. I bet if you turned this into a print, you'd probably sell a ton of posters.

Thank you so much. I completely understand that. Eyes have always been the most important part of a portrait to me so I always start with them first...and usually spend the most time on them.
I am actually selling prints of this work, just not through the DeviantArt service. I have been wondering if it would be the better way to go, so if you have any experience with dA's print service/options I'd more than appreciate your opinion on it!

Several hours a sitting over the span of about two months. I've drawn for as long as I can remember but I've really only started to 'get good' in the past 4-5 years. The work is worth the wait, trust me.

Thank you! I used Strathmore 500 Series Charcoal paper, Storm Grey, I believe. It has the perfect amount of texture to hold all of the shading!
