And it's finally done ! *sigh of relief* ...You know, I would've had this done sooner, but many things kept slowing me down. My art skills were in hibernation when I got this request, I had to clear some things off my To-Do list, J&D's account was hacked over the summer, I was recently offline for a few weeks... You get the idea.

Anyway, this was requested by my friend . It's a bunch of different interactions between his character Shelldon and my character Loa, which take place in Loa's world, Kikabila. I thought I'd also use this as an opportunity to give more details about Loa and his world.

(Also, while this wasn't intentional at first, the way these images are arranged, kind of tell a cohesive story.)

1. First Meeting: Loa and Shelldon meet each other for the first time. Shelldon is trying to make a good first impression by introducing himself an offering a handshake. Loa can tell that he's not a threat, but he's a little confused . He can tell that Shelldon is a turtle, but he doesn't understand why Shelldon doesn't have a shell. Regardless, he doesn't try to mention it and introduces himself too.

2. Be Amazed: This is a Shaman ability Loa has that I'm revealing for the first time! He can shoot these Spirit Orbs from his spear, which travel fast and have a fairly small, but effective explosion radius. However, the rate of fire is kind of slow. Anyway, after quickly getting used to Shelldon's lack of shell, Loa is showing one of his powers to him and Shelldon seems pretty surprised.

3. Sneak Attack: Basically, Loa and Shelldon are about to attack an enemy tribe (which you can't see). I might as well say it's a tribe of cannibals. They're common enemies in Loa's world.

4. Bring it!: Now, they've come out of hiding and are ready to attack! I recreated one of Shelldon's poses for this image. This one to be specific: Shelldons outfits

5. Going Swimming: After teaching those cannibals a lesson or two, they're now cooling off in the water (or at least one of them is). It seems like Shelldon is a bit too embarrassed to jump in without anything on. Loa, just thinks Shelldon is afraid of the water. (Embarrassment from lack of clothing isn't a thing in Loa's world. Well, not yet, that is.)

6. Bad Memories: As you may (or may not) already know, the one thing Loa fears the most is fire . It always makes him feel uneasy at the very least. Shelldon doesn't seem to understand, though.

7. Rough Past: After insisting Shelldon to put out the fire, Loa explains to Shelldon why fire always makes him fearful. It's not a happy story. (I purposely left it ambiguous, because I'm saving the explanation for a future deviation.)

8. Sleepover: As it was starting to get late, they went to Loa's den to get some rest (Yes, Loa doesn't wear his loincloth when he sleeps. It's mainly for comfort reasons.). However, it seems like Shelldon is having some trouble. Apparently, he prefers to sleep on something hard instead of something soft (Please tell me you got what I was implying there, because I tried explaining it several times to my grandma and she just couldn't get it! Would you rather sleep on a hard slab of concrete or in a nice soft be--!?). This is the point where the fourth wall begins to scream in pain. Shelldon is actually acknowledging that he doesn't have his shell and is wondering how he lost it in the first place (My grandma thought there was something to be resolved, because of that.).

9. Can't Cook: The next morning, Loa catches some fish for them to eat for breakfast. It doesn't look like Shelldon is too keen on eating raw fish. He asks Loa if they could cook them first, but Loa reminds him of his fear of fire. It might be safe to say that Shelldon decided he wasn't hungry. (Loa IS willing to eat cooked food, he's just not willing to be the one who has to do the cooking. Also, remember this is a tribal world, so fire is pretty much the only way to cook something.)

10. Vine Ride: Loa and Shelldon are swinging on a vine and it doesn't look like Shelldon is having fun. I'm actually not sure if this is something Shelldon would enjoy, but if it is, then maybe he just doesn't like how fast they're going or how high up they are. It was probably a wise decision for him not to eat breakfast in the previous image, otherwise he probably would've seen it again by now.

11. Missing Dignity: While they were swinging, Shelldon slipped and his loincloth got caught on a branch while he was falling, thus causing him to slip out of it. Thankfully he landed in a soft bush, but now he-- Okay, I just used this as an excuse to draw a rear-view of Shelldon without his loincloth. P2z hasn't done that, so I figured... Yeah... Make of me what you will, I don't care.

12. A Familiar Face: I was starting to run out of ideas at this point, so I thought I'd end it with Shelldon seeing Ryan again. Ryan, came to visit Loa, and he had no idea that Shelldon was there too. As soon as he saw Shelldon, he immediately recognized him. Shelldon recognized Ryan too. And Loa had no idea that they knew each other. You can probably guess what happened next.

Well, there you have it! I hope you liked this deviation that took months to make!

Bonus content: There were some ideas I had that didn't quite make the cut. One of them had Loa and Shelldon switching loincloths. That one just seemed a bit lazy to me. Another one involved Shelldon making shadow figures with his hands, but I was having trouble trying to come up with a light source and I just couldn't get the angle I wanted.
