Description
St Mark Church, Zagreb, Croatia.I took some photos yesterday and I'm very displeased with them. I know I'm bad photographer, but that kit lens is terrible. It's wide enough but so soft, not sharp at all
I'm not sure that I'll be able to make more HDR from them
The other thing that pissed me off yesterday were cars. Gornji grad it's an old part of the Zagreb and should be pedestrian zone. It's beautiful part of the town with old small houses and narrow streets. I saw only few people but lot of cars
More about Gornji Grad (and better photos

Perhaps it doesn't look "real" but that's why I absolutely love it. It's surreal; which is pretty much my favorite form of art - be it pop surrealism, or traditional photography, etc. It looks like a haunted city, and with the focus being a church; it's just perfect!

Now when you mentioned, it really looks like haunted city. That's what I like in the art, every person see something different in it.
Thank you so much for your beautiful comment, I really much appreciate it

At first I thought you'd added the colors yourself, but looked at some photos from Google and realized my mistake. We have nothing like that here! (Probably because any roof, with age and the local moisture, grows lots of moss instead--it would spoil the effect.) How much editing -does- go into a photograph like this?
I'm curious about those patches of dark sky to the left of the steeple. The dark patches elsewhere look natural to a roiling cloudbank like that, but the dark adjacent to the brightness without any intervening soft gray looks strange. If it happened in real life, it happened, but it's distracting from the rest of the image.
All of the lighting is excellent but it's that city banner in the street, outlined by light and a clear sky, which makes this worthy of a tourism campaign.
As for cars invading beautiful, narrow pedestrian areas--AMEN! Get them out! Put some wide-angle mirrors on the corners so they don't run us over, at least!

First, thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate
It's HDR, I'm not good photographer and not so good in HDR, I'm still learning. That's why clouds look unreal.
You're right, I didn't color the roof. The church was built in 13th century and renewed in 14th or 15th century. There are always tourists. I'm sure your country has its own beauty. Ireland is one of the rare countries I would like to visit among Scotland, Norway and Poland.
We have wide-angle mirrors on the corners. I'm not afraid that some car will run me over, I only thing that modern cars don't fit in such old architecture.

HDR fits perfectly with this pic,
the atmosphere is pretty surreal (sometimes it's good when there isn't people walking on streets eheheh)
