Funicular in Zagreb. Its 66-metre (220 ft) track makes it one of the shortest public-transport funiculars in the world The funicular was built in 1890 and has been in operation since April 23, 1893. Initially it had steam engines, which were substituted with electrical in 1934.Having in mind that it kept its original shape, constructional and most of the technical properties, it was given legal protection as a monument of culture.Photo taken with my old Sony kit lens. Strange, I'm even satisfied how it turned out, even without noise. Only few adjustings in photomatix and vignetting in lightroom

Its good see an artist put HDR to good use such as we see here, to many times its either too harsh or too noisy, this image suffers from none of these.
I like the angle the artist has used to get this shot, the fact I can see down onto the street below the trams, the detail is superb and I love the colouration, the only downside is the blue of the tram is too blue, I would tone this down individually in Lightroom, this way your eye does not hit the tram first and its not the focal point.
There is so much to see here the image does not need a focal point.

Stirs up memories from my childhood this does. I remember being on one of these public-transport funiculars back when I was about 3 somewhere in south England. I can't remember much of it since I'm 20 years older now and my memory is pretty vague. I did know I enjoyed being on the things and thought they were magical from a young boy's perspective. Regardless this is a fantastic shot. It has a sort of symmetrical charm to it, which I thoroughly enjoy. :3

In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, we call them "inclines" for "inclined plane".Β Pittsburgh used to have them all over the place way back when, now there are only 2 left and they run every dayΒ
