This is Rylar, a planet which exists in my AU Star Trek New Start verse.
www.deviantart.com/seekhim/gal…

It is the homeworld of the Rylarin

SECTOR INFO

Rylar is located in the  Norayis Sector
The Norayis Sector is in the Alpha Quadrant about 110 light years 'south' of Earth and 40 light years ‘west’ of Klingon space.
It is located within the territory of the United Federation of Planets

SYSTEM INFO
Rylar is part of the  Iskan System

Suns
The Iskan System is a trinary system with three suns
Iskan I (Type K: Orange sub-giant )
Iskan II(Type D: White Dwarf)
Iskan III (Type M: Red Dwarf)

Planets
The Iskan System has twelve planets and thirty one moons.
The system is famous for its unusually large number of habitable worlds and moons.
The Rylarin, who are known for their thorough, methodical nature, have colonized every planet and moon in their system.

RYLAR INFO
Class: M (Earthlike)
Size: Earth
Population: 3 billion

Rylar is the third planet from the sun.
It's a M class world slightly larger than Earth.
It's climate is tropical
It's geography consists of rainforest, mountains, savannah and desert

Moons: 3
Rylar has three moons: Ri, Ree, Ro

Ri
Class K (Adaptable, Mars-like)
Population: 800,000

Ri is Rylar's first and largest moon
It has a dense atmosphere.
It is flat and mostly barren but has small rivers of hyrocarbons
It also contains many valuable minerals
The Rylarin first explored and colonized it during the 13th century.

Ree
Class L (Marginal)
Population: 200,000
Rylar's second moon has a breathable atmosphere
It's covered mostly with a thin shallow ocean and has islands with moss-like plantlife

Ro:
Class L: (Marginal)
Population: 56,000
Ro is Rylar's third and smallest moon
It has a breathable atmosphere
Its very rocky but has small lakes with plantlife on the edges

Rylar looks good! I'm a big fan of M class planets! Beautiful worlds, nice places to visit, I'm sure.

An actual Rylarin? Nice! I sure hope they are as fun as their worlds!

Hmm... Here are a couple clarifications/bits of information and questions with regard to this system:

"Its climate ranges from temperate to tropical to arid." Great! Keep in mind, though, that "arid" carries no temperature connotations. For example, both Reggane and the shores of Lake Vanda (noisy climate data here ) are arid, but it's almost certain that Reggane's lowest mid-summer temperature ever is below Lake Vanda's highest ever recorded. All a climate needs to be arid is to have precipitation below potential evapotranspiration , leading to a net negative water balance. This figure increases with temperature, which is why, for example, Yakutsk is richly forested even though it receives less precipitation than Tucson .

"[Ri]... has small rivers of liquid methane." The problem with that is that methane boils at -161.5 °C (-258.7 °F), almost certainly below any temperature any planemo  not tidally-locked to its star and describable as "habitable" could reliably reach under any natural circumstances. It's hard to imagine how any planemo capable of such temperatures could exist right by such an Earth-like planet—it would at least require an exceptionally-reflective atmosphere beyond anything that has been observed, but the existence of such is disproven by the image. So, perhaps it could have rivers of heavier hydrocarbons?

With regards to Ree (uncertain how that's supposed to be pronounced differently from Ri ) and Ro, why didn't the Rylarin settle there first instead of Ri if they have a breathable atmosphere, liquid water, and (some) vegetation? Also, while the atmosphere of Ree and Ro could be relatively thin compared to the Earth's, it would be relatively thick when compared to Mars's*, requiring them to either be heavier than Mars or have other very favorable attributes encouraging the retention of an atmosphere (e.g. a strong magnetic field), but in any case could not be much smaller than Mercury. Mars is heavy enough that if it were Earth's moon, Earth could end up tidally locked to it, resulting in a very long day-night cycle for both bodies and encouraging high diurnal temperature variation. Especially for Ri, which must be even heavier, I worry that Rylar could experience the same fate. So, just how massive do you think Rylar, Ri, Ree, and Ro are?

*Assuming the Rylarin have a body temperature like that of Terran endothermic species and a metabolism comparable to humans, the atmospheric pressure there must be at least 0.07 atm. The reason is that at least 0.0618 atm is required to prevent water (thus blood and other bodily fluids) from boiling at 37 °C (98.6 °F) in what's called the Armstrong limit , beyond which pressure suits must be worn, and an oxygen partial pressure of 0.07 atm is equivalent to that of the "death zone " (~8,000 m [~26,240 ft]) in Earth's atmosphere beyond which indefinite survival is impossible even for extremely acclimated individuals. However, the atmospheric pressure should be greater as a buffer, especially to provide thermal inertia to reduce diurnal temperature variation which could result in literally boilingly-hot temperatures during the day and killing frosts every night. I mean, this  is a climate that I designed to be largely representative of the average for a world with an average atmospheric pressure of 0.379 atm, with this  being an example of an extreme climate on it.

Ri is pronounced (Rye)
As for why the Rylarin settled there first they did because it was closer.
The Rylarin are known for their methodical nature.
When they come to a new area they meticulously examine every detail of it and then move on the next.
They examined both moons through telescopes for centuries before they reached them.
Ri was closest so that was where they went first, even though they suspected the other moons were more habitable
They explored it and discovered that it had valuable minerals and set up mining colonies.

I honestly have no idea how massive Rylar and its moons are.
Rylar is a little bit larger than Earth but that's all I know

Thanks for all the info though. I really love it!

GOD bless

Thanks
I'm going to give you a bit of a spoiler about the Rylarin.
They're not as big as the C'tekians but in some ways they're even more scary!
