James T. Kirk shares a tender moment with his Soul Siblings: the Nlian lifemates, Shylea L'Naym and Tuskaro Alyen
In this verse Kirk leaves the Enterprise after only a few months and accepts command of a small science vessel. While there he meets Alyen and L'Naym and the three immediately form a strong bond. Months later the lifemates form a Soul Sibling bond with Kirk; basically adopting him as their older brother and becoming his younger brother and sister.
Theirs is a very unique friendship; a Starship Captain and two enlisted Crewmen. But James T Kirk has always been destined to be unique.

Either the flowers or the way that both Shy and Tusk love Kirk equally

What I like I the tenderness between them.
That's not something that Kirk is usually portrayed as having in his life.
With him people seem to love non stop action or if its emotional its sexual.
I wanted to show something that was calm and peaceful but very strong.
Something not romantic but very deep and real.

What I like most about the pic is that its platonic.

It's like Kirk's become a big brother of sorts to these two youngsters, and they're filling a void in his life, too. I'll be reading these stories.

They're not youngsters; they're only two years younger than Kirk, but Nlians are shorter than humans.
He is definitely a big brother to them though, and they fill a huge void.

As always GinaIlustra (Gina Rivas) really did an awesome job with this commission picture. This portrait really turned out beautifully and helped to convey the love they now share as soul siblings. Seeing how in the story all of his life Kirk had longed for connection For intimacy and love but has had gotten precious little of it and the last time someone had touched him intimately it had been a brutal violation. But this intimate encounter was non-physical but far more intimate, tender and wholly from love through a bond, that has touched Kirk, Shylea L'Naym, and Tuskaro Alyen souls. This is the sort of friendship I believe many wish we could have with other individuals. This is truly a beautiful piece art and can see why it is very special to you. AGAIN WELL DONE!!!
