Description
I've recently started doing stuff in a field I'm rather interested in, but know very little of: cooking.I've done some cooking before. Not much, but some. Some of it is up here. I've decided to get more serious though.
For my first attempt on this new path, I used some pasta ( I don't know what kind of noodles, and the fact that all the names are rather foreign to me, I don't know them at this point ), with a garlic oil. Used some olive oil we had. Don't know quality, Lacks a label or anything. Was in some dark glass square bottle thing with a cork. As well as some crappy old garlic stuff from a jar. Would have rather used fresh garlic, but we didn't have any.
Verdict: Decent. Pasta turned out how I like it ( just beyond the point where it's crunchy/hard ). Used too much oil though. Also, it wasn't garlicy enough, probably due to the stuff I used being not fresh, and old aside.

it's extremely plain, but for someone who doesn't cook 'not bad' :]
it's just a spaghetti noodle :] probably a mix of semolina & bleached flour.

Haha, yeah. I tend to be one of those sorts who doesn't bother learning terminology easily, and since I don't really talk of such things often, I just know them by sight.

If you wanna mix it up next time, try: in a skillet pan 'Bring it up to a medium to high temp, add your Garlic and a little bit of Olive Oil, add some basic chopped onion, then put a lid on it and let that cook for a few minutes 'Occasionally taking the lid off and stirring, so it doesn't burn' after the onions are soft 'and or caramelized' drop the temp down to a medium to low temp then add a little chicken stock 'or some of the water from boiling the pasta "like just enough to get everything nice and wet" then add some cutup sausage "what ever type/flavor you like, something like an Italian link sausage" put the lid back on and let that cook a little while 'till the meat is fully cooked' then just toss in the cooked pasta turn the heat off, put the lid back on and let the carryover time go till your ready to eat!
when you go to plate it up you can add things like: more Olive oil/ Garlic/ Parmigiano-Reggiano/ some diced scallion... a bunch of stuff
and all of this should only take around 10minuts 'sometimes more, sometimes less'
