Ya and that person that Celestia order Yamada to kill was Ishimaru, which Ishimaru is one of my FAVORITE CHARACTERS.

I think what makes your drawings of these so far so sad is how their expressions get less intense with each picture.
Leon is screaming, tears running down his face.
Mondo is grimacing, distressed and also in tears.
And then, Celes is crying peacefully, even smiling somewhat.

i think because thats what was the biggest difference between kuwata and the others; kuwata didn't know he was going to die, and he stated that killing maizono was out of self defense, because he was scared - that's why he's screaming
oowada DID know he would be executed if they found out he killed fujisaki, and even if he didn't want to die, he accepted that it was his end - he's grimacing because he doesn't want to, but he knows he should
celestia also knew she would be executed, as long as she got her plan to work - she was satisfied with the outcome, and so she also accepted that she was going to die - celes is smiling because she's happy the plan worked, at least, a little bit, but she's crying because she never got to make her dreams come true
