"Lin...? What's wrong...?" Aang asked gently.
"Ah. I see," he said as he listened patiently.
"Sometimes... sometimes things don't go the way we want them to...
But even if that should be... we still should never turn our backs to the ones who need and rely on us."
"Come on," Aang said with a cheerful smile.
"Let's go find your mother."
I just always loved how Lin (and Asami!) keep helping those around them despite being given so many lemons in life. They're my two favorite new characters because of it and I imagined that, at least for Lin, her heroism came from an inspiring conversation with Aang when she was young

When I first watched the show(ATLA but also LOK which I do own on dvd thank you), first thing I thought when they introduced Lin that I thought was, "Wow. She really rubs off her mother." Anyone agree?

Well you the reason why I cried is because when I looked at Aang's smile it reminded me of when he was young. And it also reminded me of how he is no longer alive in the Legend of Korra. That pick brought back a lot of emotions.. *sniff*

I find it funny how in the ATLA the main enemy was the Firenation while in Book 1 of LOK it's Amon and Book 2 it's going to be...an evil spirit. Kind of makes you think we went from intimidating vilians like the Firelord and Amon to a blob. But you are right about one thing, we'll get to see more of Aang and possibly the other past Avatars. Personally I think one of those twins that are Korra's cousins(wiki it) is going to be the main bad guy. Also is it me, or if you'd put a Star Wars character either jedi or sith people in the ATLA/LOK universe the people from there would think sith lighting was fire bending, force choke blood bending, and force using air and earth bending. That's all I'm gonna say.
