"Ah. I see," he said as he listened patiently.

"Sometimes... sometimes things don't go the way we want them to...

But even if that should be... we still should never turn our backs to the ones who need and rely on us."

"Come on," Aang said with a cheerful smile.


"Let's go find your mother."


I just always loved how Lin (and Asami!) keep helping those around them despite being given so many lemons in life. They're my two favorite new characters because of it and I imagined that, at least for Lin, her heroism came from an inspiring conversation with Aang when she was young

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet but YOU DREW LIN IN A MINI METALBENDING UNIFORM!!! *dies* I bet Toph, being the proud mama that she is, gave it to Lin when she noticed how much her daughter loved to imitate her.

Also I love how this comic gives insight into how the relationship between Lin and Aang could have developed into a strong bond as they aged. Got along famously indeed ^_^
