For those of you unfamiliar with the story in Provost dog:
Basically, the heroine Beka Cooper works for the Provost (aka medieval police squad-Think NYPD Blue/Law & Order). She has the ability to see the ghosts of people carried by the city's pigeons and solves mysteries with their help. Slapper is a particularly old, crippled, and crazy pigeon who's like "the high priest" among the other city pigeons...

I loved Slapper since he first showed up in Terrier. Β I got angry about what happens in Bloodhound. Β And this just is as awesome as he is in both those books
