Description I made this after I ran in to trouble knitting my wool sock. This one is made from acrylic red heart yarn, cheap stuff for practice. Very warm, but the acrylic is sweaty. Be better in cotton or wool! They wont fit in shoes too well, but theyre great for birkenstock type sandals or big boots. Or just in bed!

I used this pattern -

Materials:
4 oz worsted weight yarn
Size 5 or 6 needles

Starting at the top/cuff of sock:
Cast on 48 stitches and rib (Knit 1, Purl 1) for 7-8 inches
Bind off 12 stitches, knit 24 stitches, bind off remaining 12 stitches and cut the yarn.

Top of foot: Re-attach yarn and work on the remaining 24 stitches until this section measures 6-7 inches in length (depending on foot length).

Shape toe: Decrease by knitting two stitches together at the beginning and end of each row until 12 stitches remain. Immediately begin increasing one stitch at the beginning and end of each row until the stitch count is back to 24.

Bottom of foot: continue working on the 24 stitches until this section is the same length as the top of the foot.

Shape Heel: Decrease by knitting two stitches together at the beginning and end of each row until 12 stitches remain. Immediately begin increasing one stitch at the beginning and end of each row until the stitch count is back to 24.
Bind off.
