Description This is a piece commissioned by featuring Wasp getting KO'd by his original villain The Golden Parakeet. She's got the same size changing powers as the Wasp.

I decided to do a different look than my recent pieces. More animated in look and smoother tones. Remind me again never to draw this smooth again... its a pain!

No references used except for how the costumes should look.

I have had the "Golden Parakeet" as a character for quite some time now (I think since the mid-1980s), but up until this "adjusted/manipped" pic that I recently did:

[link]

And this current commission by James, she existed only in my mind!

I am glad that you like the Parakeet. I will probably use her again. Perhaps she will KO Panther Girl, next time!

Oh, I have so many different characters that I have played around with, just in my mind, since I started concocting various different superheroines to knock out in my demented paraphiliac scenarios, way back in the early 1970s, beginning with Panther Girl, of course!

There's the Dastardly Disruptor, Gytalf the Utmost, Berzerk the Crazed Viking Warrior, the Exclaimer, Gigginthrope the Humantelope, the Horrible Hornet, Stink-Bug, Mr. Hideous, the Emerald Hood, Powerhouse Pam, Titanic Tina...

And there are more, many more, that I have yet to portray (or ask someone to draw for me)...

I am glad that you like the characters, and I am very proud of my galleries featuring my lovely heroines!

I have not done much with Occulta recently; I have been concentrating on Panther Girl:

[link]

However, "mike51b" is nearing completion of his Poser story with the Polecat and also the characters, Dazzle Dolly and Spider Vixen. He just has a few more pics to post, and he will be finished with the story:

[link]

After that, he intends to return to the second issue of the Panther Girl Poser story, which also features Occulta:

You might also enjoy the "Nullified" story by "bitty38", which features "Elizabeth, the Silver Sorceress", who was Melody's predecessor and mentor to the use of "Silvery Magicks":

It is supposed to be a mace, only without spikes -- I guess you could call it a "club"! It can also fire energy blasts. Maybe my next pic will have the Golden Parakeet blasting the Wasp out cold with an energy blast from her mace/club!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

saber4734 In reply to gytalf2000 [2010-04-27 23:32:04 +0000 UTC]

Well I suggest making is a little bigger. It appears to be small for a mace. Maybe make the blunt end of it a lot bigger so it look like a weapon. Now if you call it a "club" it fits the bill.

Always glad to help. This [link] gives some examples. I suggest something similar to the 2nd one except get rid of all the spikes. And last but not least put one spike on it that looks like a Parakeet beak.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gytalf2000 In reply to saber4734 [2010-04-28 17:33:04 +0000 UTC]

Neat weapons!

I was thinking I would go with the "Iberian Mace" from the "Arms and Armor" website, or a slight variation:

[link]

I actually own this mace. I used to purchase a lot of medieval weapons, back when I had more money, a few years back!

The parrot's beak spike sounds like a neat idea!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

saber4734 In reply to gytalf2000 [2010-04-28 17:44:31 +0000 UTC]

Well sometimes you have to customize the weapons as well as the characters. That mace looks nice. In fact I would keep the small blunt spikes it appears to have but add one bigger one in the shape of a Parakeet Beak. And I would suggest making the head of it gold.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gytalf2000 In reply to saber4734 [2010-04-28 17:56:01 +0000 UTC]

Yes, a gold head would be appropriate -- she is the "Golden Parakeet", after all!

I am also thinking of having the shaft covered with leather, with a "wrist-thong" at the bottom.

gytalf2000 In reply to saber4734 [2010-04-28 18:15:28 +0000 UTC]

A comic book? Now that would be fun!

"Mike51b" has done an entire issue of Panther Girl:

[link]

And, as soon as he finishes his current fun KO-story with my other character, the Polecat, along with his heroine, Dazzle Dolly, and jason74012's Spider Vixen, he will resume work on the second issue/chapter of Panther Girl.

Now, the actual story, and all the laborious work in Poser, are all done by Mike, but he was inspired by my character -- Monica Denise Campbell, Ph. D., the Panther Girl -- to create this wonderful Poser comic. Initially, he just wanted to do a few panels, but Monica has really captured his fancy, and he decided to do a large-scale adventure with her, and Occulta, and the Disruptor, plus a few of his own characters. We do a lot of consulting and exchanging of ideas, as the story progresses, which is quite fun!

The great thing is, all this is free! It is not done on a "commission" basis -- I am just very lucky to have a talented Poser artist who likes my characters a lot!

Sounds like you already have things in order. Let me offer a bit of advice though. I am pretty sure I didn't hear any guy names in all those you mentioned. You might want to invest in some heroes as well.

gytalf2000 In reply to saber4734 [2010-04-28 20:20:04 +0000 UTC]

Well, the "Dastardly Disruptor" is male; he is basically a "cartooniverse" version of me! He has the power to fire waves or blasts of disruptive energy from his bizarre, extra-long pinky fingernails! Odd power, isn't it?

Here are all the pics of the Dastardly Disruptor, so far:

[link]

Note the resemblance to yours truly:

[link]

...

I also have "Gytalf the Utmost", a warrior/sorceror who is a "sometimes friend, sometimes foe" of my heroines. I only have three pics of him, so far.

[link]

I have quite a number of other male villains, like the Exclaimer, the Horrible Hornet, the Victorian, "Gigginthrope the Humantelope/Human Wildebeest", Mister Hideous, Stink-Bug, "Alkenahr the Almighty", and many others.

But you are correct -- no heroes to speak of, really!

Hey bro, i got news from a fellow deviant that it has recently been announced that there would be 6inch ironman2 figs. I dont know how accurate this is but for me, its a useless news coz guess what? its Walmart exclusive only which means it would never get here.

It would include the MK V MK VI and the Warmachine.

I checked the Hasbro site and although others in the US have already bought the 6inch figs, its not listed on the site yet. I probably am right about the price being around $12-15 coz the 4 inch ones are almost $8.

If the branch you work at has it and its around the price range i mentioned, please do get me 2 Warmachines and 1 Mark VI... 3 would probably fit in the $20-25 first class USPS box. I would get 1 more Warmachine or Mark VI if it could still fit in the box. I would definitely want to have one opened and one sealed for my collection.

I work at K-Mart and one thing I have noticed about K-Mart is they tend to get things late. Now we have the Iron man 2 4in figs which surprised me. Let me give you some examples.

Christmas major buys: Zuu Zuu Pets and Mind Flex. We got them in about a month ago. Does that make sense? Hell no.

But look i'll go to Wal-Mart tonight and take a look. And i'll get back with you. I'll keep my receipt just in case we have some issues with shipping. If I find them that is.

oh man... i totally thought you worked at Walmart! I guess MART is the only thing that registered when we talked about your job when you first got it. Sorry man, now its a whole different scenario. Dammmnn. If Walmart is out of the way, its ok bro... no biggie but thanks for the offer anyhow and much appreciated nevertheless.

As for Kmart... damn, that's freakin LATE! If it was a knocked up babe, she would be delivering the baby by then. I dont know about these figures though coz they're Walmart exclusives... then again you got some exclusives TF decepticons there if memory serves me right but the Mark VI and Warmachine are definitely hot in the market right now. Dont know if they produced a lot of these so i reckon it would be good if you got some for you too. Might be a good investment... if you find em. LOL

I checked Wal-Mart about 15min ago. No Dice. They had everything we have at K-Mart and a few things we don't have but no 6in figures. Now it is possible they will get them in before or even after the movie but when I don't know. I'll keep an eye out.

Ahhh... well, it was a good try anyhow. Thanks man! ill juz try to hit up some local sellers here and ebay, i think it would end up more or less the same price if i got em there coz of the shipping fees. I was able to find a mark VI for around $25 but it might go higher as the bidding hasnt ended yet. huhuhuhu.

Anyhow, if not for me, try to get for yourself bro. They are definitely worth your bucks.

Hey didn't the movie air early internationally?

Ironman II's first day is today here in the Philippines. But i think Singapore or Thailand had it 2 days ago (lucky bastards). Ill be watching it today or tomorrow. Excited as hell!

I went to some review sites (articulatedtimes.com i think) and they featured video reviews for the 7inch Select figs...they look good in pictures but articulation is hindered in a lot of ways. But i love how the faceplate can be taken off! pretty sweet. BTW, i finally got the figures! Not now though coz its in another part of the country. Not at retail price but better than having em shipped internationally. But thanks for effort bro! if you see Warmachine, get one for yourself or 2... easy resell!

And I want a review of Iron Man 2. No details just tell me what you thought of it.

semaj007 In reply to saber4734 [2010-04-30 11:41:00 +0000 UTC]

ok, no spoilers review.

I gotta say i like the first one better. The pacing of the story, the shifting of the scenes, acting and even the action sequences are better in the first movie. The first 15 minutes of Ironman 2 was a bit clusterfuck-y in a sense and all the actors doing the scenes for the first 15 mins tend to overact or maybe their characters are juz extremely overt... I dunno but afterwards, the pacing and slowed down a bit.

The good, is that a lot of things from the movie wasnt expected at all! with some movies, you can tell what happened by watching the trailers but with ironman, there were some cool parts that were refreshing. Remember the Cap America Shield in part one? ill leave that to your imagination. And oh... Black Widow was portrayed WONDERFULLY! Scarlett did a great job!
