With my 30th Birthday fast approaching (damn... im really old) i decided to do something from my childhood... Heman! Masters of the Universe was my fave show growing up! Could've given him an updated look but decided to capture the original version.This is a piece im pretty proud of. No references were used and i think i still drew Heman quite well considering the last time i drew him was probably more than 15 years ago! Not too happy with the hands though. It was supposed to be the classic "fists on waist" pose but i miscalculated the distance during my sketch.sigh
This piece is also for , and every other fan of the epic series that changed the face of cartoons and action figures forever!

Boy does this pic bring back memories! I watched both He-Man and She-Ra when I was growing up (have them both on DVD), not to mention Voltron (on DVD), GiJoe, Thundercats (on DVD) and all of those cool cartoons that were done back in the mid to late eighties! Now I feel old *sigh* oh well I may be 34 but I refuse to grow up!

Damn! I envy you so much for having all those DVD's of such classics! You have the series really? Lucky you! i would love to be able to watch em again especially Heman and Shera and TCats! The only DVD i have with me is the Transformers Movie 20th Anniv Edition.

Yup I really have all of He-Man all of She-ra all of Thundercats and all of Voltron on DVD. It took awhile to get them all but now that I do I'm

Im not excited about Jem but Bravestarr would be awesome! Especially Bravestarr:The movie! Damn... i miss all those great toons! Silverhawks, Dinoriders, MASK, Inhumanoids, Tigersharks, Centurions and Visionaries. Even Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and Sky Commanders!

What can I say I'm a girl and I loved Jem (but if you think I'm a girly-girl guess again). Silverhawks I loved that one too (done by the same people who did Thundercats). I hear you loud and clear I miss those old cartoons as well, in my opinion some of the cartoons now-a-days suck except for Avatar that's cool!

I dont follow Avatar though. The only recent series that was worth my while were Anime. Two only for the past what? 10 years? Samurai X and Shadow Skill.
Oh! I forgot Justice League, Batman and the 2008 Spiderman cartoon. I guess there are good ones still but not at the level of 80's cartoons. At least you have your DVD's there... me, nada. huhuhuhu

It's an alright show (it's way better than Spongebob, sorry if you like that cartoon I don't). Oh yeah I saw some of those and I'll agree withh ya on that nothing will top the old 80's cartoons! Yup me and my DVD's you'll get yours one day just you wait and see!
