With my 30th Birthday fast approaching (damn... im really old) i decided to do something from my childhood... Heman! Masters of the Universe was my fave show growing up! Could've given him an updated look but decided to capture the original version.This is a piece im pretty proud of. No references were used and i think i still drew Heman quite well considering the last time i drew him was probably more than 15 years ago! Not too happy with the hands though. It was supposed to be the classic "fists on waist" pose but i miscalculated the distance during my sketch.sigh
This piece is also for , and every other fan of the epic series that changed the face of cartoons and action figures forever!

Cool! I like his 'justice' expression and the way his strong legs bear the weight of his muscular body. I know Heman, but I honestly don't remember really well his adventures; I'm more from Ghostbusters, Johnny Quest, and TMNT times - hope I'm not making you feel old

Haha... Dont worry, ive watched all the other shows you mentioned as well. But i hope you're referring to the original versions and not the Cartoon Network remakes though as all of them have been remade.
Heman was the first popular action/adventure cartoons from the Western world as most of the other shows at the time were Japanese toons like Voltes V, Mazinger Z, Macross, etc...

Same here... never had a trapjaw and triclops. I dont know why but i never got to get em and yet get all the other guys. Even had the complete Evil Horde!

Yeah, we always get entwined in stuff we have to do that we almost never have enough time to do things we wanna do for ourselves. But there's always time for everything although it wouldnt always be the time we want things done.

Yep! Especially when it comes to action figures. Sigh... the only action figures i have left with me is of my adulthood. LOL. All Marvel Legends... started buying when series 3 or 4 started. I hope these wont get stolen as well as i wanna show em to my Grandkids someday...

Same prob i had but my decision was between Magic The Gathering and Marvel Legends. Went with Marvel Legends but Hasbro's take on em sucks big time! im thinking on quitting myself and juz buy 1-3 figures per expansion. Its not worth it anymore.
Series 2? Damn... you got some great figures then! Although i started series 3, the only sets ive completed starting from Galactus series.

Dont bro... you'll only end up wasting precious $$$ for the shitty job they do. For 8 figures/set, only 1-2 is worth it and even then, those two have terrible paintjobs! Hope you got the LCBH though coz the articulation, the paint and the sculpting is juz perfect! The BAF for series one is PITT (one huge mofo!!!) and Series 2 Monkeyman (hmmm.... juz ok). Too bad they're gonna stop at Series 2 which i dont have any idea why
