The Night sky was Alight, charged with the Sign of the Mark…
It was like a hunters moon bright and at its full measure…
It shone luminous and shimmered with an air of impending doom.
The cold light cascading its eerie glow down upon the Castle and its many towers…

Albus Dumbledore lay slumped against the wall…

“Severus…”

Severus said nothing, but walked forward pushing Malfoy roughly out of the way…
His back to Draco, and the Death Eaters…
Severus Felt that he would go raving mad in that terrible instant…

The arc of the sky churned ominously…

Albus’s Eyes locked on his… ‘You know what must be done…’
Echoed throughout the confines of Severus’s skull, reverberating savagely, a painful thunderous onslaught of Dumbledore’s command…

‘I cannot…’ He pressed in return.

The sickening exchange lasting a mere second. ‘Then all is lost… you are a coward Severus….’

Then with finality Albus spoke out aloud.

“Severus… Please…”

Insane rage welled up through Severus, the horrific emotion triggered by Dumbledores legilimens spilled out from him in a screaming torrent…

“Avada Kedavra!”

Severus Screamed out loud… Poppy Pomfrey pressed him back against the Pillow, her eye’s were wide…

Although quite used to the fitful ravings of the terribly ill… She was taken aback by what Severus spoke out…
Her own composure recovering slowly… The Wild Nightmare was done…

She smiled down at him, it was a light tentative smile… but she remained at a loss for words…

Severus’s breath began to even out… He too remained silent…He was shaken to the core… and drained, but could not close his eyes again. He turned his head away from Poppy Pomfrey, His damp black hair spread across the white of the pillow…
