With the dawn came slight indication of what the day would bring, the little tremors of premonition traced at the fringe of her consciousness, she suppressed the inclination of an imminent 'something' that crept along that fragile edge. Later, she would certainly have given a ransom to have heeded the tell tale signs of warning - as for now, however, she must keep her wits in this impossible situation, options were slipping fast, time had become an adversary and the ferocious threat loomed before them in an ever expanding incandescent presence...
