Forever. What I love about them is that there is no other couple LIKE them. And no one can ever be them. And no one can ever match how suited they are. And I like that it's not conventional, and it's "mainstream" because it's not canon. I LOVE that because it allows us more room to PLAY and create and just...LOVE them for who they are, and not for who others have made them to be.

I'm sorry I keep having SS/LE moments at your pictures but I can't help it, I'm just totally not into SS/HG. ^^
Anyways, to me 80% of your drawings are just PERFECT, same goes for this one. I absolutely love it, it's very sensual.
Also, my interpretion is rather not about possession but protection (on the part of Severus). And I find that very appealing.

thanx sweetie ... I understand the attraction to SSLE - but for me, I can never put it out of my mind that LE married the other guy and had his kid ... if things were different, then it would have been a whole different series of books ...
I see your point with the protection bit too ... only - in my eye - for that, he would be standing in front of her ...
anyway, I am more inclined to the SSHG pairing because with Hermione Severus has a clean slate ... Lily belongs to the man whose ring she wears ...

Yes I agree with you, there is never an actual canon possibility for them to be together as a couple but if you stay true to the book it is also highly unlikely that there would ever be any kind of romance between SS and HG. That's why I only see these drawings and videos and stuff like "he would have longed for it to be this way".
So a female with awesome hair always holds enough potential to be both so far.
And about the protection I share your feelings that he should be in front of her (hey, maybe you could draw something like that one day ^^) but I meant it not in a specific situation of danger but more like she snuggles close to him for that feeling of being cared for. Do you know what I'm trying to say?
It sounds a bit confusing but I hope you're more or less okay with me seeing it that way.
Either way, I really love that drawing and maybe I will print it out and put it on my wall next to the one drawing you did a while ago that already is there.

oh yeah, for sure even SSHG is beyond the principality of canon.
fanon is just way too big to confine any particular ship ... and there sure are alot of them out there, whoo hoo ... my own flag ship is ADSS, which is one of the more offbeat ships, an aquired taste, to be sure ... so yeah - I do understand your own ship - and I am truely cool with all ships - thats the joy of fanon ... everybody gets what they want out of it without compromise ...
Yeah babe, I'm altogether cool, so long as everyone is happy and enjoying the creative endeavors offered ...

Hey, I'm glad you said that. Because I really love your artwork and I also love people enjoying the differences they find between each other.
Actually I came across some fanfiction that pictured a romance between Dobby and some random wand. O.o Awkward but whichever pairing blows your boat. And a lot of pairings have real potential. It's great what movies, books, TV series etc. do to us, making us creative, imaginative and our daily life so much more colourful. Also they bring people together like the two of us for instance. 
And I'm very thankful for all the possible expressions out there that make fandoms live in general.

Are you planning on drawing some kind of protection scene in the next time? Just out of curiosity because I totally ship that with every female character and Snape.
Also, when I read fanfiction, I only read Snape/OC ones because in my head that is kind of the only solution to the very strong canon stuff.
I mean...who could say the Harry Potter books were not real to the extent that it sometimes feels like the characters are watching you reading fanfiction, facedesking on a regular basis.
