Description
This piece is dedicated against the flow of politics to the right. To forbidding abortion. With the argument that a child is not a choice, but life.Abortion is not a matter of choice, but of life. Not giving people the choice to abort will create great harm and ruin thousands of lives. Why simply allow the torture of test lab animals who are about ten times more sentient and pain-feeling than a not even alive fetus?
Capio Ademption means "A choice, taken away."
Think before you act, people. Banning abortion from your own opinion is the same as fundamentalism. And we have seen that leads to more harm than this world can handle. Please, be tolerant.

This is a great piece, and I stand behind the idea.
However, the message at the bottom is a little confusing. If I had seen this on the street, I would have thought that this was a anti-choice message. When it said "Abortion is not a matter of choice, but of life.", it sounded to me like it was saying "You shouldn't have to choose, because this matter concerns life. You're choosing whether or not to have life." Now basic human morals would tell the average person "Hey! I don't want to end life!", so it may end up sending the complete opposite message here.
What I'd suggest is a message like "Not having an abortion may end two lives.", or something to that effect. Otherwise, this piece is great, and the latin is a very nice touch. I'd also reccomend putting the translation onto the actual poster in small print.

the 2d has nice depth, and the robot parts are awesome.. truly a great addition..
the light is perhaps a bit too bright.. that's just my opinion..
i think it'll be cool if u can somehow put a baby inside her.. maybe kinda make the stomach semi-transparent, and then u can see some parts of the baby.. dunno.. kinda an idea i had..
overall, this pic is great.. and the issue surrounding it makes it that much better..

ok, unwanting parents i'd consider, but though fosterring does have it's problems, a lot of foster families are very successful. also fosterring generally occurs in later childhood, whereas adoption from for instance infertile parents, are extremely successful and provide a valuable life for the child, and surely a prospective childs life carries more value than squeezing into a size 8? There is contradiction in my own beliefs, but thats because my own beliefs are only 'perfect' in an ideal world.
the fact that this conversation is starting is yet another indicator of a very informative and provocative piece. I'd love to have a debate over ethics if i had time, but i'd like to not detract from the artwork at hand.

I think we all agree that it shouldn't be banned, at least. Thanks for the considerable input and words on the piece from both of you, and not letting the discussion escalate in an ethical debate. Great input!

stunning expression of your opinion. The media is stylish, attractive and reels you in, and the more you look at it the more it's point is made. I also share your belief to a certain degree, that abortion can be 'the better of two evils' as it were. Some cases however, like the american woman a few years back who aborted a child so she could go on a ski trip, they disgust me. But making a frail woman impregnated from being raped, keep her sick baby is IMO morally wrong, and under those circumstances i fully support your beliefs. It's refreshing to see someone who has thoughts and ideas embedded in their artwork, methinx i'll be giving you a +watch and +fav

not trying to go into a debate, but i've heard a few other people mentioning similar stories "...this women got one just so she could..." now if they are all true or not - i don't know - but if a women would REALLY have an abortion just so she could go skiing or something similar - then then thank god in my opinion - we don't need yet another child being raised by parents that don't want it and hate it...or another child rotting away in some adoption agencey or foster home.
ok, sorry, this isn't just directed to you...but there have been a lot of political pieces as of late from people...and this comment keeps coming up.

I'll skip commenting on the abortion topic and head straight to the imagery.
This reminds me alot of pixel catalyst's renders. Mechanical and full of beauty. The right arm is sticking out a bit, but can be easily overlooked. The 2D adds an intersting touch to the already heavy mechanical feel the image has. Wondeful manip btw. The dark glooms awesomely over the red. Kickass work mate.

Taking aside the statement of your comments.. this image is very deep. It makes me feel like the very thing that makes us human has been removed and surplanted with automation and predictability. It is sad, lonely and hopeless. This is what the image evokes inside of me.
In regards to your comments, I can see the intent and how it invokes feeling. Yes abortion is a choice, and I agree that no one has the right to make that choice for you.

exactly what IOFFE said,
we are responsible for our own actions, ending someONE's life is no different from ending a BABY's life- SOMEONE includes a BABY , FETUS and anything that is even remotely human.
However, taking the right away is kinda unfair- before any woman aborts they should know that they are ending someONE's life, regardless.
by the way , graet piece , nice colours , great composition

It is part of life, we need the nutrients to survive. We were born like that- we are just like animals- we eat in a food chain just like every other speicies on this planet. Theres nothing unfair about it. Its part of life.
