Mighty the Armadillo, my one true husbando.
A drawing I did on the back of my senior schedule during my classes when I should've been studying for finals.
It started out as something dumb but the more I developed it, the more I liked it, so I outlined it and added color with colored pencils and fooled around on Photoshop and eyup.
Pretty dumb and generic pose, but this was more for experimenting that structure I guess.
I really dig the coloring/shading style I used on this. It reminds me of a tattoo or something from the panel of a comic book.
Perhaps I might use it more often.Mighty belongs to SEGAAA

One qestion: Why do you love Mighty?

I've been roleplaying as him for over a year now. I didn't really know which character to pick, so I picked someone who wasn't ever played much. I didn't know much about him at the time, but the more I learned about him and the more I played as him, the more I feel in love with him. He has such a great personality with good morals; he's kind of what I'd like to strive to be. Also, he's kinda handsome, hehe. >w<

My reason for loving him is because his personality is almost like mine, and we have the same favorites, since we both love nature, adventure and traveling! He's hard on the outside but if you look into him deeper you should see that he's a huge softie that will fight for his friends, and total proof of that is when Mighty trashed Snivly's robot after it seemed that Ray had been vaporized (when really he was in an Egg Chamber) when Eggman nuked Knothole. His strength is incredible and is powerful depending on his emotions and in what situation he's in. Since I loved him, iv'e been doing research on him via the Mobius Encyclopedia, and I ponder every word he says in the comics. In fact sometimes I feel a bit bad for him since he feels ashamed for things, like in that first issue of the arc "Echos Of The Past" when he recognized Harry and harry explained to Mighty that Mighty left Harry behind.
Well, yeah. This took a bit of time to write, but you'll see why my love of Mighty is wider than the Canyon!

Speaking of Espio, I ship him and Mighty together. Shhh, don't tell anyone.
I feel me and Mighty have very similar personalities too. I've slowly started to become more like him over time. I definitely wouldn't say he was a softie when he wrecked Snivly, did you SEE him? He was so full of rage, haha. But yeah, he definitely is very loyal to his friends, part of which I feel is because he feels very guilty for so many things. He couldn't save his parents even with his strength, he lost his sister (well, now he knows she's still alive), couldn't save Ray all those years back when they were captured, and couldn't help Fiona escape. The poor guy exiled himself when he was just what, ten? He's been through a lot, poor baby. The sad thing is, most of these things weren't his fault, yet I feel he blames himself. Even still, he's come out strong and has vowed to protect his friends with his life, which is very admirable.
Haha, it's fine. I love it when other people share a passion for the 'dillo as much as I do! Not many people appreciate him, which is sad.

I know! It is a bit sad to know that not that many people know about Mighty and have forgotten about him, even in Sonic Generations it says so in a "Missing" poster!
And I almost ended up crying when I found out about Mighty's past, I wouldn't stop thinking about it for, like, days...
You also forgot about the fact that he left Harry the Dingo behind, and that's why Harry was disowned (I think), and...yeah! And when Knuckles started to glare at him for saying, "Gee, Knux, I thought that after you hooked up with all your ancestors you knew all your answers about echidna history!" I was SO MAD! I would've killed Knuckles at that point if it weren't for him being in a Sonic Universe arc (out of paper, LOL)!
I hope that the next SU is about Mighty and Ray, because I want to know a more about the 'dillos past other than what we know now.

You should've seen me when I played that game and saw those posters. I paused the game and just stared at it for like a good ten seconds and I was making weird noises. XD
Same here. He has such a sad past that you probably wouldn't expect because he's more of a happy guy.
I don't think I've read that one yet, but I definitely should! I only tend to read the comics with Mighty in a good chunk of it, hehe. It makes me be better in character as him since I learn more about him and how he acts.
I really hope so too! Mighty and Ray left like twenty-thirty issues ago, I can't even remember! It's been like two years since they last appeared in the comics (except there was an off-panel of Mighty in Ray back in January or so, that doesn't count for much though.) I know time moves slowly in the comics and lots of things are happening, but I'd like some closure on my two boys!

I hope they don't make Mighty and Ray be gone from the comics-they are one of the only place theiv'e appeared in.
Also, perhaps Mighty is acting nice but deep inside he's sad because of letting himself down so he acts nice to distract himself and cover up his sadness.

That's what I think. When Mighty gets angry, he gets REEEEEAL angry, which could be a result from all the pent-up frustration and guilt he feels. He only ever seems to get angry when it's over something to do with his friends, never himself. I think he must be very strong; not just physical wise, but mentally and emotionally wise too, considering all he's been through, and the fact that he still remains good and kind-hearted, even if the world hasn't been the same for him. It's easy to act mean to the world when you're sad and upset, but to remain nice and cool? That takes something.

Yeah, I do my research too, but I love the Mobius Encyclopedia because it has information on every Sonic character in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics! So I end up spending a LOT of time there.
