SPACE JELLYFISH, OOOO. They're clouds omg.
This is a gift for a friend of mine! It's his birthday today! 
He's helped me through a lot this year whether he knows it or not!
Seriously, if it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't be in the great frame of life I am now. Trust me, I am SOOO better off than I was two or three years ago, heck, even looking back at myself from less than half a year ago makes me cringe!

Sonic and Shadow are his favorite characters so naturally, I drew them both for him.
Not sure how I feel about this piece. I think I went a bit crazy with things and blah. Definately didn't come out how I pictured it in my head, but that's because I strayed from it so much.
Eh, I guess I at least learned a few things. Aw well, can't like everything I make.
Tools used: drawing paper, pencil sketch, blue outliner pen, red and green marker, pastel sticks, shiny dark blue scrapbooking paper, white paint, white paint pen
Live and learn, hanging on the edge of tomorrow!~
Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog belong to SEGA.

Yeah, pastels can be fun to use, although they're pretty darn messy! I had to wash my hands at least ten times between all the smudging and paint flickering.
I find drawing Sonic/Shadow from a back 3/4th perspective to be REALLY difficult (those darn quills!) but I find using an action figure as reference really helps get it right!

This is truly beautiful. I love the calm colors used. It gives the picture a sort of heavenly glow in a way cx Nicely done! David probably loves this picture to pieces teehee!

Eheheheh, thank you sis! The colors are actually a lot calmer and muted in real life. The glow is a result of the lighting I had when I took the picture. I was going to try and get rid of it or at least even it out somehow, but I decided to just leave it there. It DOES give it a glow, and I find it kind of ironic that Sonic's side is more illuminated than Shadow's side.
Oh yeah, he totally digs it! He only told me three times himself (and said it made him smile!!), retweeted it, reposted it, used the picture as icons for Sonic and Shadow, said he liked it AS BOTH Sonic and Shadow, then posted it on the Retaliator's Twitter, waaah. Makes me very glad he appreciates it!
