Okay, this work is actually titled "Encountering the Mokarran Inversion".Thank you character limits. I swear, the surrealists would have killed themselves in the face of such devices.
Well, I wanted to make a commemorative plate for the Franklin Mint but this is what came about.
They also never return my calls.
Every big tree needs a friend.
I could do this all day.

There is no way you could have painted this by accident, but if you did.. nooo you probably used some texture..

No external textures really. I did hand paint this image...I think it was for a book called "Hybrid". I also made the cover of that book with an image of the same name. You did pick up on something that I don't always talk about... I do consciously make reference to geographic and geo-political events. You have good eyes!
