sentimentalfreak In reply to tritube [2009-09-30 02:48:25 +0000 UTC]

It looks a little dull, what colour mapping are you using? Are you using gamma correction?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tritube In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-30 02:53:50 +0000 UTC]

you actually respond oh ye tnx :]

well mate i had used only 2 lights (VRayLight with intensity 40&10)

color mapping in here is Exponential - Dark: 0.5 - bright 0.3 - gamma 1

mm .. i think mate that i did a big mess with my vray render preset ..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sentimentalfreak In reply to tritube [2009-09-30 02:55:08 +0000 UTC]

hmm just use exponential, don't change the dark and light multipliers, they can make your textures look really washed out. If it's too bright, make your light weaker

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tritube In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-30 03:01:40 +0000 UTC]

im still feels like i mess up all the vray settings ..
is there any chanse you email me vray preset for interior?
i hope its okay..

thank you again =sentimentalfreak ..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sentimentalfreak In reply to tritube [2009-09-30 03:05:25 +0000 UTC]

lol, there isn't really a preset. Just use default settings, turn on GI (use lightcache and irmap for normal interiors, use brute force for ones with lots of glossy reflections/dof/motion blur/sss)

tritube In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-30 03:11:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks a lot my 3ds sensei!

..
i dont know what can i help you with but if you need anything just ask! (im not just a 3ds newbie but a photoshop designer lol heh)

So thanks again!

There are lots of vray interior lighting videos online, some dvds that you can probably download too

sentimentalfreak In reply to AcidicDaisy [2009-09-29 03:06:41 +0000 UTC]

lol thanks. I gave up guitar hero and started learning electric and classical guitar after Rockband told me "maybe it's time you bought a real guitar"

lol thanks I gave up guitar hero a while ago for some real guitars, much more satisfying

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SupreyesMe In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-28 03:52:47 +0000 UTC]

i tried doing that, but i found out that video games are much easier than the real thing. big suprise

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sentimentalfreak In reply to SupreyesMe [2009-09-28 03:58:36 +0000 UTC]

lol yeah. It took me a few days to play black magic wmoan on guitar hero (expert) it took me a few months to get to the point where I can play it on real guitar

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SupreyesMe In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-28 04:53:22 +0000 UTC]

Well, in comparison to me that's ridiculously good. My lack of hand-eye coordination does not lend itself to playing the guitar. It's kinda funny, actually.
Guitar Hero, on the other hand, doesn't require as much hand-eye coordination. At least considerably less finger-eye coordination. Of course, I'm not that good at Guitar Hero either. lol.

sentimentalfreak In reply to SupreyesMe [2009-09-28 04:57:19 +0000 UTC]

pffft, you would do just fine, I used to think the same.. But practice makes perfect.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SupreyesMe In reply to sentimentalfreak [2009-09-28 04:59:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I just wish I had the time to practice. It's hard enough to make time for ART. Which is a serious problem in my book.
