Cool water. Not so sure about the comments though. It sort of sounds like a lunatic, or a nymphomaniac wrote them...

no I'm at my mom's for the weekend. I usually spend Sunday nights at her place and do laundry. This weekend I set up her wireless router YAY! for me... but for her too. And I'm helping her learn to use her laptop...

She's had a computer for probably 8 yrs... uses it mainly to check email. She's finally gotten to where she doesn't call me to help her do that. lol... this is her first laptop, and it's just a matter of finding her way around. She's getting ready to go on holiday for over a month, in just over a week and wants to be able to connect at cafes and stuff so I was trying to help her with that. She turns sixty next month, but isn't really all that into techno toys. lol So I'm her go to person.

So.... The easiest way I can think to do this... instead of throwing a ball into water.... throw water on to the sphere... then render it in a blue environment to make it look like the opposite.. but I might be completely off XD.
Man.. I love your stuff.. it always inspires me!

that's pretty much right, I didn't really mean for them to look like bubbles, but that's what happened so I left it

Hey... I have a question... Out of the 2 images now, that Iv tried to semi recreate of yours... the only thing that I have REALLY had an issue with... is Lighting and shadow... Shadow in particular... Im not sure if its that C4D and 3DS do shadows differently... or something else... its just that, whenever I try to emulate your shadows... I fail... Regardless of what I try.
Hmm....

there are no real shadows as such, GI is on, so the shadow from the ball is just GI shadows from the environment (the gradient background)
