The material in the spheres is nearly hypnotizing, care to share your secrets with that one?
Nice lighting and I like the overall mood in the image, maybe itΒ΄s a bit too bright though.

yeah mayb ea bit bright, i was trying to give it sort of a just woke up/dreamy feel..
the spheres are just vray material .. orange, green, blue diffue colour, and in the reflect spot, instead of changing it to white, click the little thing beside it and assign falloff (then choose fresnel in the falloff window)..
it's pretty much the same as fresnel with vray just gives a little more control if you want to use maps for reflections n stuff

Okay, thanks. I thought you used the a refractive material with a lot of fog inside.
But maybe itΒ΄s the post processing in photoshop or something. (Or, it could just me )
But they sure look like they have SSS.

yeah i've noticed some reflective materials with vray look like SSS but they aren't

This looks awesome! The design of the environment is very cool, and the soft pastel colours fit really well. The lighting is simply fantastic, and I can't take my eyes off those great glossy reflections. This piece is both technically high quality and visually interesting at the same time, great work!

lol.. i don't think i could, that was so long ago....
it was pretty simple really, just vray material with about .4 reflection, fresnel ticked... the light comes from hdri multiplier about 30 and a tiny vray sphere light, multiplier about 30 or more too

Jason-C In reply to sentimentalfreak [2006-03-13 07:34:38 +0000 UTC]
That'd be great if you did get around to making a tutorial. I don't use vray, but a tut that covers the general concepts in an easy to understand way would be very useful for us Brazil users.
