I've been on a real drawing slump lately and haven't done squat with DA in awhile, so here's some aircraft pics I've had lying around.

The SR-71 Blackbird probably doesn't need an introduction. Fastest combat aircraft in the world, one of the highest-flying aircraft in the world, basically interception proof for most of its career. It was originally intended as a fighter (the YF-12), but was too expensive and actually too fast for the job. The SR-71 was also the first aircraft to use a great deal of titanium, and special tools had to be developed to even build it. Between its inception in the early 1960s and its final retirement in the mid-1990s, the SR-71 swept the books on speed records and still retains the power to astound.

Hey, I'm like everyone else--I love the Sled. Naturally, I had to do a pic of it, and found a split-view schematic on the web. The color scheme isn't exactly complicated, but to jazz it up a bit, I threw in a tail logo. I think Cheetahs is a good nickname for a SR-71 squadron. (The motto "Tempus Fugit" is Latin for "Time Flies"--double entredre fully intended!)

Though now I have this idea for Brittany Diggers flying one...
