Description The English Avarice Aircraft Company (EAAC), with guest designer (you guessed it), Prof. Anton Veeblefitzer, offered this deviation to the RAF review board, and they laughed so hard that their handlebar mustaches uncurled, resembling Hobbit feet.
Anyway, the four engine'd thing was way, way too nose heavy, and though conceived as the first four engine'd single seat'd fighter in the world, there wasn't enough room anywhere for weapons.
Pictured is the sole prototype, which never flew, and didn't even have propellers.
But did look sort of cool, and resides, now, at the Royal Museum of Hopeless Things.

I actually really like this design! I bet with the proper materials science you could make it work

It'd be nose heavy!
Maybe with an equal number of engines facing aft, that might make it work.
Of course, it'd eat up all the fuel just warming up and taxiing.

I bet it would sound really cool, with all that engine noise, you might not need weapons!
