Description
What makes Catalyst a terrifying villain is his superb intellect and lack of empathy, his powers are nothing to sneeze at either. As I explained in other pics, Catalyst is an en-human that possess a variant of Atomic Girl's abilities. While she can manipulate matter around her to create whatever she can think of, Catalyst can create any form of chemical or gas within his body and secrete it. With this power, he could exhume mustard gas to kill an entire room full of people, painfully, or as seen in the image above, secreting highly concentrated acid from his hand to melt the flesh off of an unfortunate security officer's face. The only two notable weaknesses of this power is that he can only secret so much chemicals before he reaches his limit and must rest his body, and that he can't create solid matter from his body, only liquids and gases. Despite having such power, he rarely uses it for combat, in fact, he rarely enters combat himself, not since he created both PMTX and 1818 (or as you know them, Veno-Miss and Frank) to handle most of the dirty work. Instead, he prefers to use his abilities for his experiments, as he feels they would serve better in science than in combat. With that said, that doesn't mean he won't use his abilities to rid himself of pesky nuisances, and if anyone were unlucky to get in his way, they will likely suffer a painful death, or worse.
