Description
I decided to create a new villain, one that explored the idea of what would happen if animal was exposed to same gas that created the en-humans. This is Onyx, a monstrous mutated bear with immense strength and a knack for destruction.
Before he became a nightmarish behemoth, Onyx was a simple black bear that lived at a wildlife sanctuary just outside Sapphire City. He had been abandoned by his mother and would likely not have survived had he not been found and taken to the sanctuary, where he was nursed back to health. He would've lived out his days in peace had it not been for Talon Corp., who wanted to use Onyx to test a new device that emitted a frequency that would repel bears, something that would be useful for campers if they were about to be attacked by a bear (keep in mind, Talon Corp. does more than just create advanced military technology for the military, they create product for the genral public as well, regardless of how minuscule it might seem) The sanctuary allowed this in exchange for a sizeable compensation as well as assurance that Onyx would not be harmed. However, the day that Onyx was to be used for the test trial, was the same fateful day that the Nebula Incident occurred, resulting in Onyx being exposed to some of the en-human gas.
At first, Onyx seemed unaffected by the gas, but as weeks went by, his behavior began to change, becoming more aggressive to both his caretakers, and the tourists. Not only that, but he was also growing in size to the point where he was too big to be contained and eventually broke out of his enclosure and escaped the sanctuary, heading straight for Sapphire City.

Onyx was already large for his species, but after his mutation, he's the largest bear that ever existed, even bigger than his prehistoric ancestors. As an apex predator, Onyx has many natural tools at his disposal, and thanks to his mutation, each and every one of them has been enhanced. Immense strength that could rival any heavy hitter that challenges him. Dermal armor that could shrug off bullets like gnats, a heightened sense of smell that could detect prey from miles away, deceptive speed, and an enhanced intellect that's on par with primates, and dolphins. In battle, Onyx relies on brute force to overpower his enemies, using his powerful clawed arms and strong bite to tear his victim apart, and with his aggression levels through the roof, he won't stop until his victim is dead.
