As a scientist and an inventor, Takumi is constantly fascinated by the team's extraordinary abilities, and consistently works with them in trying to understand their powers and how best to use them. This not only serves as training for the sentinels, but also a good way for Takumi to collect valuable data for future study. The purpose of this is that if he can somehow find a way to replicate some of the team's abilities, they could be a huge benefit to the planet, if used properly. For example, Crimson Glory denser bone and muscle enhancement would be quite useful in the medical field, or Omega's ability to convert different forms of energy into pure, raw energy could be the key to a new clean energy source. However, out of all of the abilities, Atomic Girl's ability of subatomic manipulation perks his interest the most. If her transmuting abilities could be replicated, the applications could be limitless, scarce resources could be restored, world hunger could be solved, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. However, Takumi knows that such power could be incredibly dangerous too, so for now, he works with Becky to help better understand her powers.

Through these tests, Becky starts to have a greater understanding of her powers, how they work, and her limitations. Takumi explains to her that the gas that turned her into an en-human drastically altered her body's genetic structure. In particular, the mitochondria cells in her body produce far more energy than an average human's. That extra energy acts as the fuel needed for Atomic Girl to use her abilities, as transmuting consumes a lot of energy. Her ability constantly feeds on the extra energy her body produces, helping avoid any negative effects from producing that much energy and keeping her system balanced, though she has become a bit more sporadic than she was before as a side effect. These tests have also shown her the limitations of her abilities as well. Despite her body producing far more energy, whenever she uses her abilities, they consume more energy than she can produce. As a result, this could wear her down, causing fatigue, dizziness, and can even render her unconscious, this is especially apparent when she either consistently uses her powers over an extended period of time, or when she's transmuting incredibly large objects. There are a few warning signs that indicate when she's starting to reach her limits, the first being a simple bloody nose, as seen above, where she's transmuting a metal ball into water. The second warning is a sense of dizziness and blurred vision, light-headedness, things of that nature, and finally, as a result of her abilities consuming all the energy in her body, she'll faint and be out for a short while usually. Once she regains consciousness, she'll have to recover her energy levels through high calorie food consumption and rest before she can return to action. Despite these limits, Becky is always looking to find ways to push past them and reach new levels, and thanks to the training she'll receive from her teammates, as well as the tests with Takumi, she'll learn how to minimize her energy consumption when using her powers, as well as figuring out how to push past her other limits as well, but she still has a long ways to go.
