The only moment that these two ever had a cool moment was when they came to the aid of their son in Grounded, where at the end of the episode Carl fired a rifle at the Highbreed holding Humongousaur down at point-blank range and the two of them agreed to Ben being a Plumber and that it was his job to protect the Earth from villainous extraterrestrials.These two should have more screentime together, and not just them but Frank and Natalie Tennyson as well (Those two have more screentime than Frank and Sandra do, and they barely do ANYTHING with that screentime!!).
The Parents don't need to do much of anything aside from an occasional father-son/mother-son moment, or a cool scene like I explained from Grounded, but these guys we know little-to-nothing about, and I wish that they'd have done some more screentime, period.

Yes, I think that they could have had a little more screen time, but the problem is that they need to have their personalities changed. I just don't see why they would get so upset about Ben keeping the Omnitrix a secret from them (it was for their protection), in fact, I actually thought Ben's parents knew about the Omnitrix on the last episode "Goodbye and Good Riddance". I'm a little confused about that.
Anyways, it would have been nice to see Carl and Sandra have their own episode:
Carl: Now Ben, let me tell you a story of when I first met your mother

Because they completely ignore the responsibilities that Ben has got on his sholders, defending the universe is more important than anything they want him to do, grounding him for petty reasons. That episode annoys me so much, i would tell them to get a grip if they were my parents and then go out anyway

But that was before he even saved the Galaxy (I refuse to say he saved the Universe from the Highbreed when there were more-qualified individuals that actually saved it: Cosmo saved the universe by merging with Dark Oak who was drawing energy from all non-plant life and using it to create a universe without animals in it, weakening him enough for Tails to tearfully fire Super Sonic and Super Shadow at him. Simon and the Dai-Gurren Brigade freed the universe from the threat of the Anti-Spirals total control through the Spiral Nemesis Threat by traveling to their pocket universe and engaging in a Galaxy-Sized battle of epic proportions for the fate of the Earth and to an extent ALL Spiral Life. The Lumas in Super Mario Galaxy saved the universe from destruction of a Super-massive Blackhole by leaping into its event horizon, stabilizing the Blackhole, and creating a Second Big Bang to rebuild all that was once lost to the Blackholes' might at the end of the game. THESE are actual people saving the actual Universe!)
Besides they were trying to protect him as he was their only child, any caring parent would do the exact same thing if this situation were to come up, and they thought that he was probably pressured into the role of becoming an alien hero of Earth instead of believing that he did it willingly.

I dont know about the examples of saving the universe that you have given but i didnt actually say Ben had saved the universe, i said he defends the universe, thats what he does even then, fights any evil that arises to harm anyone, no matter who or what it is aha.
