Description I recently adjusted the values on this one and gave it a bit more shading. It's a companion to this piece: [link]

Ink and Photoshop.

See [link] for more of the person who was the reference on this one.

This distills what I love about art nouveau -- the organic lines, geometric but border-breaking expression, and a feeling of joy -- into an elegant image that's simple but striking.

Amazing... It gives an impression that is somehow related to the Celtic culture, without having obvious Celtic symbols. It's mysterious!

Thanks for the favorite.

Maybe it's the tree pattern in the background. It's not knotwork, but it almost looks like it could be at first glance.

Fantastic work, Scott! Here I thought by the thumbnail, that I was seeing a bit of Mucha. I wonder what he would have thought of using long, silky fabric to fly around the air in?

Thanks. It turns out that a co-worker I see occasionally in the halls is this aerialist. She popped up on Facebook commenting on a friend's posting, so I clicked through to her page and then her web site where I discovered this is what she does in her off time. It's always fun to discover other aspects of people you knew nothing about. (Well, as long as they're good aspects.)

I am always in awe of this kind of... dance? hobby? exercise? I'm not sure what to call it. But it's beautiful. It looks like the kind of thing I used to do with my mother's curtains... only with a lot more grace and much less destruction.

uh... that sounds terrible, what I mean is that it looks like good, whimsical fun!

The video link didn't seem to work. It should work if you copy/paste that bit after the [link] on the end, depending on how curious you are.

I haven't seen her perform live yet, but hope to here at some point soon. I think it also helps to be small, wiry, and strong.

(I think it's visible to everyone...)
