Description
8/7,the Typhoon Morakot lashes Taiwan.It brought the disaster since hundred years of Taiwan.
1/4 of Taiwan in the water.
Thousands of people lost their property, their homes, and even their loved ones .
I was lucky that I can still be here now,
But many of my compatriot still need help.
Many countries expressed concern to us, and even to help .
US and Japan were the first countrys to lend a helping hand.

Oh, gawd. Remembering this incident sure is...a lot.I remember at school, living in the capital there, upon receiving the news from the teachers, our whole highschool just sat in silence, praying for the fellow citizens down there in the South, some of my classmates were crying, a boy next to me also started to cry, his family lived down there. A whole complete silence at our school.

one of my friends went on a missionary to Taiwan to help the children there learn about Jesus (^_^)
he showed us a lot of pictures of the typhoon and i felt really guilty because there's really not much a 12 year old like me can do but pray.

I was visiting family in Taipei when the typhoon hit. We were lucky and Taipei wasn't very affected, but I remember being so scared that first night; I had never been in a typhoon. As my mother described it, "It was like the sky opened and the heavens poured water down on us."
We were all horrified when we then saw on the news that a whole village with over 600 people were missing...

I was in Taiwan when the typhoon struck. Luckily I was up in the north but they had the same news broadcasting for like weeks.
It was horrible. So many TV stations made donations. I'm glad that it's over but... this is Taiwan we're talking about so it might happen again
