This is literally what I have in my mind about Noriko is slowly infecting by Godzilla's embedded tiny shard-like skin.

Utterly horrifying and fear of his wife's physical health and appearance, Koichi won't let her work outside and let her stay on their home because his PTSD rises up since he thinks that Godzilla will find her, so he, alongside his best friends, only knows about her condition. He makes sure that she is safe.

But it won't last long when a newly regenerated Godzilla from the first film suddenly makes his appearance in Ginza, again. Godzilla senses something unusual of "his kind" and finds Noriko (due to the fact that she possesses a Godzilla-like appearance), successfully kidnaps her and swam away, leaving a distraught Koichi and sad Akiko behind. Koichi then again vows himself to rescue Noriko, enlisting his friends to find her and kill Godzilla.

However, unknown to them, Noriko finds herself that Godzilla isn't as bad as he seems (overview that he is ruthless, violent, and destructive creature, but literally, he is soft and patient inside, my headcanon BTW LOL).

Offering herself as an immortal is difficult, whether she should stay by Godzilla's side for all eternity or just watch Koichi and Akiko die from their old age...

So anyway! Do I have to make an OC child of Noriko and Godzilla?
