After I made elf ears for my sister, she pretty much let anyone use the wire so I instantly took the chance to make another pendant I wanted to make something different. Start changing the way I made trees, specifically the branches. I've also wanted to make a dragon tree after playing a game on my phone called Dragonvale. I love the trees in the game and it even has a dragon-looking tree. I have been recently playing it more than usual and felt inspired to make a dragon tree, thus this was born! I didn't finish it until I came back home since I didn't have the chips and I wanted to oxidize this pendant.
I tried to oxidize it and it didn't work. It was tarnish resistant copper =/ Soooo I had to figure out how to make it look oxidized and after experimenting on scraps of wire, I was finally able to make it appear oxidized!
I really like how this piece turned out. I will be sad when this pendant finds a home. Every time I see this one it inspires me to try and come up with different tree styles
