Not sure if a stamp like this already been made.
I know some people are probably sick of people like me making these "I am Religious and I like....." stamps.
Anyways, I am Christian and I read, watch, and have some Harry Potter stuff. I hate the fact that people had to bicker about the damn thing cause of the damn witchcraft and wizardry stuff in it. For crying out loud it's a fantasy movie. I bet half these people that bicker about the magic in Harry Potter have seen a movie at least once in their lives that has magic in it. It is called FANTASY and FICTION people. Not like I am gonna go out and pick up a stick and call it my magic wand and do withcraft with it.
Sheesh, some people with stuff like this. I wish they get over it. I mean their was even a controversy on damn Yu-Gi-Oh. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET OVER THIS "HOMG THAT HAS MAGIC IT IS AGAINST MY RELIGION IF YOU WATCH U GOES TO HELL" crap.
Again, it is fantasy, it is adventure, it is imagination, it is FICTION.
You may use this stamp in your journal. Just copy the thumb code to the right. Must have a subscritiopn.
NO FLAMING IF YOU DISAGREE PLEASE.
Rookie-101 is my old account I am leaving shortly. I am resubmitting this stamp here.

I'm a conservative Christian and I'm a Potterhead (will be til the day I day. I will in my rocking chair reading those books). What I love most is the story. I love good stories and Harry Potter happens to be one of these. I don't care for the magic, but I love the friendship, the sacrifice, and evil vs good.

I wanna know why these people think Harry Potter is bad, but Lord of the Rings and Narnia are alright. Narnia sucked.

My aunt won't let her kids read Harry Potter because it doesn't teach Christian beliefs. Apparently it doesn't matter that it's a fantastic (and ENTIRELY FICTIONAL) story about the meaning of love, friendship, and right versus wrong. People need to calm their tits.

I love these series as well One of my cousins can't even bring them into my aunt's house because she thinks they'll 'Bring something in' or whatever -__- I respect her opinion but still that's a little wacky if you ask me. They're just books. Even my old pastor was against them, I just don't see the big deal.
It's not like were going out and practicing witch craft right? Because we know it's FAKE. Magic is not real it's fiction. Some people are just a little too up tight I swear And this is coming from a Christian to.

I agree entirely! Harry Potter is on the same boat as the Never Ending Story, Labyrinth, Legend, Wizard of Oz, the Last Unicorn! All those were famous because of how cool and magical they were, defeating evil! Harry Potter is just the same as that. Fictional and fun.
I am a Christian too and I am a HP nut and, pffft! It's only a story. People whine just too much sometimes.

That's great! It's only fiction. I think can God tell the difference between fact and fiction. I don't think He will punish you for reading Harry Potter or playing Dungeons and Dragons and whatever else those people say is bad but quite clearly is fiction.

I totally agree! My dad's a minister and my entire immediate family watches the movies all the time and my mom read me the books when I was really little ^^ I don't understand how some people can't realize that it's just fiction, my aunt is that way, I can't even start to mention Harry Potter around her, so annoying >.<

Following the logic that states Harry Potter is evil, Cinderella also should be censored, because there was a fairy godmother.
Although personally I'm a non-believer, my mom is a deeply religious Christian, and she's the one who introduced me to Harry Potter in the first place, and we've watched all the movies together and exchanged books. So I'm faving it for her to see.

I agree with EVERYONE SAYING THAT harry potter is just a fun book to read and also who CARES if someone really actually practices witchcraft, i mean does that REALLY AFFECT YOU IN LIFE? No it doesn't. Heck my mom read it BEFORE the harry potter movies came out. Also back in 7th grade me and the whole class started to do Harry Potter activities such house sorting, making spellbooks and wands. Me? I sorted into RAVENCLAW,Hell yeah! Also i helped make the boards for our houses such as drawing the animals symbolize the house.

(sorry if it's really long lol) I'm a Christian too and I have read all the books and seen all (almost all) the movies!!!
When I was younger, my parents wouldn't let me read the books because they thought it was evil and they thought I would go to hell from learning magic or something. But after I had seen the first movie with my friends (with my parents permission), my mom secretly bought the first Harry Potter book for me because she realized it was just fantasy and it was just a fun read. But she told me that I could never show the books to my dad or tell him that I'm reading them. So since that day, I've kept my word and hid the books and read the books in secret for almost 10 years O.o and he has never known. And heck, I've even seen all the movies in theaters (in secret) with my mom.
Throughout all those years of reading and hiding the books, I've grown to love Harry potter a lot more because it is series that I still ponder as to why so many people tried to ban children from reading these wonderful books. I mean, come on!! Parents want their children to read, but when Harry Potter came along, it was almost as if everybody didn't want their child to read anymore :/ It was really stupid!!! Kids need Harry potter in their lives because if they read a series like this, they'll be more interested in other books as well It worked me because I love reading more than anything now and most of my allowance money is usually spent on books
lol
Parents (especially Christian parents) should understand that if they want their children to become better readers, they should let them read Harry Potter first and see if they'll develop an interest in other books as well.
I'll always love Harry Potter because without the creative mind of Jk Rowling, I would've given up on reading a long time ago and I would've given up on becoming a writer. Thanks Jk Rowling for making me continue my love for reading and writing

I totally agree with you. My aunt was that way, but I don't know if she is still that way or not since her divorce. But Harry Potter has given me a wider imagination. It's interesting and fun. I am glad your mom let you read and watch the movies! My parents at first thought it was a childish film, until they saw it with me and throughout the books mom would ask me all what was going on. My sister who though it was going to be a kiddy movie got into it after watching the movie the second time! I read all the books and seen and own all the movies so far! My sister even read the books too!

Me too!!! I got my little sister into Harry Potter. It sort of started on watching Potter Puppet Pals on youtube and then I gradually tried to get her into more. So just recently, I had watch the first film (extended edition) with me and at first she hesitated but when we got to the part where Dudley fell in the snakes cage, she started getting interested. And by the end of the film, she was like, "Do you have the second one lying around." lol I got her hooked
Though it may be a matter of time until I get her into the BOOKS

I LOVE Potter Puppet Pals! But awesome! Yeah my sis is more into the books then the movie, but she like them too except for Half-Blood Prince though cause she said they missed a lot in the movie, but I myself still enjoy the films! I can't wait till July 14 til the 2nd part of the last film comes out!

THIS.
I'm Christian, and I think Harry Potter is awesome. But then you have these religious nuts who think people who read it are going to hell. I think they're the ones who have a problem distinguishing fiction from reality. Sometimes I just want to tell them, "FINE! I'm going to hell then!" I like plenty of fantasy stories and anime and TV shows. Obviously, that makes me a bad person.
It makes me sad, though, to see Christians hating things - not just fictional things, but gays and other stuff. Because if there was anything Jesus preached, it was hate. /sarcasm
The point of this stupidly long reply is: Harry Potter rocks. And so does A Very Potter Musical.

I've been in a Lutheran school/High School all my life, and back in Grade School grade, our teachers woul encourage us to read things such as Harry Potter, Series of Unfortunate Events, or LotR's.
Maybe I just went to a very liberal religious school.. *shrugs* XD

Well, maybe my school was too strict. My old teacher (who was a woman) was waaay too strict about everything. She always said TV is the devil, don't watch it, also don't read these fantasy novels, because it's BAD! I can imagine what would she have done if I had brought my Angels & Demons book (by Dan brown) into school. I could have never made it in high school xD

Yays I found someone who sees the FICTION in fantasy I hate it that in some places they ban/burn the books cuz of the idea of magic! btw the biggest reason J.K. left out religion (Christianity) is because it would give away the plot
The second is that everyone of all religions could read it
