Description More Spore fun.

Venus Strider is a omnivorous creature that is part arachnid and part plant. It has no eyes so it relies on its ability to detect movement from the ground using its feet and change in the air around it from it's false leaves on the back of its head.  It's an ambush hunter disguising itself as a plant luring prey towards it with a sweet aroma then shoot out a deadly cocktail of poison from pods on its forearms. (Poison is a combo of neuro-toxin and Hemo-toxin) It's also hunted for the pair of flowers that bloom on its back, which is used for medicinal purposes by the planet's inhabitants.

I have to come up with a story when I create creatures like this. Hope ya like it.

Maybe I'll show you some of the creations I made in Spore sometime, if you're interested.  Of course my specialty is vehicles, but I'm not bad at making creatures.

Sure I would love to see what you came up with. I just got to the civilization stage and got a bit lazy on the building pieces lol

lol I see.  The Civilization stage in my opinion was the biggest example of wasted potential.  Originally it was going to be a much larger-scaled section that could be described as "Civilization meets Command and Conquer", but largely due to EA's executive meddling, the game was rushed and a lot of features (including an entire section, as there was supposed to be an aquatic stage between the cell and creature stages) were dropped.  The thing that ruins my enjoyment of the space stage are the fact that my colonies cannot do anything without my help (such as fend off eco-disasters or pirates), as well as any race that's a Zealot (they're all assholes, so I tend to destroy them as quickly as possible because I got tired of their shit long ago).  Doesn't help that the game glitches out and crashes a lot for some reason.

Yeah I really only like the creature and tribe stages but it's really fucking annoying whenever it decides to crash. And always at the worst times. I remember getting the right parts to make a Living Aircraft and was just about finished had the tail left to do and then it says "FUCK YOU!" and crashes

Yeah.  I forgot if there's an autosave function.  Granted, it means you can't "save scum" in the space stage, but still, it'd be nice to have.
