Ok Bulbers, I had such nice defined VLight beams with some intricate play to the right of the image. On making the final render, most of the effects vanished. Compromising here and there, something was saved. I'm quite puzzled and

HA HA, thanks, really appreciated! No worries, I wasn't around in 2014. Though my profile says member for 9 years, active time is only a bit more than 2 years. This includes a huge 6 years gap between mid 2006 and 2013. Long story...

Creo que las VLs están todavía muy en pañales. Habrá que esperar si Jesse acierta con los cambios que hacen falta para hacerlas mas manejables. En especial es aburrido tener que hacer un nuevo render para cada pequeño cambio de ubicación de la VL.
No obstante las quejas contra el pobre Jesse, el trabajo te quedó muy bien.

Aquí y en un trabajo próximo, tomé una luz posicional como VL. Lo encuentro algo más fácil, interesante y preciso. Aplicarla a partir de una luz global, es una pesadilla.

Coincido. Sin embargo la luz posicional es muy diferente de la VL. Es decir, que dependerá de qué efecto es el que estás buscando. Yo uso muchísimo las PLs para resaltar detalles.

As the viewer there is the advantage of seeing what is without seeing what may have been. I like the "heavy fog rolling in" effect.

 

Haven't tackled fog yet in MB3D much less V-lights so no pearls of wisdom coming from this quarter.

ohyeahh .. damn v-light , i dont have the patience  for this always to find the right settings.. so...at this time i give up , maybe sometimes i will try again...but...

In this case and on a forthcoming upload, found out that creating VLights from positional lights is a bit easier and accurate. This means I gave up with using them from global lights. The results are totally unpredictable. Thanks for stopping by.

También me ha pasado muchas veces. Si uno no toca las 'lights' no debería pasar. Sino lo ajustaba otra vez en las Dynamic fog y el Depth para que vuelva el efecto aún a costa de cambiarme las escena por completo.

Not a Mandelbub guy either actually. It happens that's it's such a good and bitchy prog, that it becomes a personal challenge. You spend much more time fighting against it than within a creative process. Just using it to prove a point. Will probably leave it anytime and using it only when I'm mad at life.
