Description
MB3D 1.8.9 - Photoshop (minor post-work only)Quite satisfied with this work artistically, particularly considering it came from a hopeless parameter that was a snap of a finger away from being deleted. This lightweight png took about 7 hours to render at this size. Can someone tell me why you get so different results when you make the final render which too frequently ruins your original idea? Kind of a lottery!. Let's take Bryce as an example: what you plan and see in ANY preview render is exactly what you get in the end, only better. This can apply to Apophysis too in its own particular way. In other words: predictability.
At 2560x1440px with all the necessary quality toys, this was taking 22 hours to render...12 hours for the reflections only WTF...abort! Sad, because it was being such a nice pure and polished render. If I had used any of my own maps, it would have gone well beyond 30 hours! Again
Note: As some of you are aware, I'm not at the site on a regular basis, just coming and going, for now. Sorry for not being able to enjoy your fine artworks. The sheer number of deviations is overwhelming. Guess I'll suffer from the consequences here.
I'm taking this upload (one of just a dozen works in 3 months) as an opportunity to dearly thank all friends for your support, kind words, new watches and faves.
