Saturday fun, a mecha inspired by the Robotech/Macross world/universe.It's a just a fast sketch, 3D wise tho.
Apps used: Zbrush, C4D and PS.

Neat. Is it transformable? It doesn't look it, but the engine inlets on the legs make me think maybe.
It looks like a labor mecha with minimal armament and a large thruster(?) on its back to help it act as a tug boat in space dock. That's my guess anyway.

It's not design to transform, in reality, but I gave it that illusion with the engines for a more Robotech feeling.
You're right on your guess! I was aiming for 2 "jobs". 1. Labor and 2. I think it could also be a "marine" mecha with a hand rifle, could also jump boosts forward in battle etc..

Yeah, I totally see it. Fore-arms off an Archer, legs off a wasp/stinger, torso off something beginning with "ost".
...
...also, in spite of the origins, it's all Battletech to me, since I never saw Robotech/Macross

It is, I know... but it's the one I started with, so... it's kind of a cultural thing. It's like different names for animals in different languages.
