Description
This is a 3D sketch I've done today. Took me 1/2 hours.I wanted to create some kind of mecha that wasn't build for war but could act as a support/repair mecha in war.
Unfortunately it's not polished nor refined, lack of time won't let me do more on this piece.
Models were done in C4D & Zbrush, then a white render is created.
The rest is painted on PS with my color picks.
Apps used: Zbrush, C4D and PS.

I like the design, but the core/body needs to be facing the other way, imo. Usually a heavy/assault mech with a cannon/gauss rifle or some other means of heavy-recoil weaponry needs rear-support feet to handle the stress. Feet like that on a repair mech doesn't really make much sense.

It's a detachable upper body. He needs heavy legs to land quickly during combat, to support the height and the force of a landing. In my view at least.
Thx for the feedback.

Then if it's shock absorption you're looking for, I'd still recommend digitigrade legs, but much longer. A good example for leg size that would fit your mech would be the Mechwarrior Hellhound:

Battletech examples would be the Viper (third, top row), the Argus (fourth, top row),
And the custom mech Leviathan (third, bottom row):

Cheers man.

I see those legs way weaker to be honest. It's all metal grabing metal. I dunno. We could talk for hours about this topic lol.
Cheers, thx for the feedback.

Yay! Utility bots! Can they be fitted to harvest raw minerals?

lol yay.
I think it could harvest minerals, a simple swap of "hands" and there you go.
Thx for checking it out Jandroy.

Woah this is awesome
It kinda reminds me of the SCV from starcraft....and they are both really cool ^^
I like the idea that it can detach from its body, but im curious if it can re-attach?

Hi Douganator, Yes it can, it holds 2 main propulsion engines that move around in any direction, that would help in that task.
SCV from starcraft is a cool mecha

Hai
Wow...that seems really useful, so it can fix things much bigger than it? cos im guessing a repair bot isn't very big. But i could be wrong XP

Yes that's what I was thinking while doing it A repair bot is normally easily taken down by enemies and smaller then all the others.
It's also a good firing practice mecha lol.
