He has complete control over them when focused, but when he isn't, the creatures tend to act on their own accord (yet still loyal to him). By having a dual of steel/fire, he can mend and reshape the forms of these golems as he sees fit. However, it is uncommon for him to do so because heating the metal, even with magic, takes time and leaves his creatures vulnerable until the metal cools again. These golems he has prove useful in long-distance travel, collection, and most particularly, fighting.

When it comes to close combat, all he knows are a couple moves to get unexperienced attackers off him. Anybody and anything more skilled, and he'll get his butt whooped.

Personality: Seto is definitely not an easy person to get close to, let alone stand. He picked up a lot of his characteristics from the old man who looked after him. Very aloof and quite arrogant, he often puts his intelligence above others. That's why he's prone to making the occasional sarcastic remark when he disagrees with something. It doesn't help that he tends to dislike socializing with people on any other level than business either. This makes him come off as very adamant about not trusting people. Alas, despite his general rough disposition, there are times when it's possible to have a decent conversation with him. Particularly, when the subject is intellectual or involves one of his nerdy interests.

And above all, he's generally not a bad guy. Depending on the situation that arises and the person asking, he'll lend himself out sometimes to protect and help those in need. Usually, seeing it as something embarrassingly trite, he doesn't appreciate receiving fanfare or over-glorified gratitude, unless it's something materialistic he can use. Unfortunately, there are indeed situations and people he won't lift a finger for.

When he's left to himself, he's actually a big obsessive nerd that likes to excavate minerals for technology and alchemy purposes. He can get pretty excited about it too, and if he finds some artifact or weird bozo item, even better (the main belt across his chest contains much of his excavation tools and mechanical tools. Seto also has a thing for animals. They fill his need for social interaction without the complaint and talk of a speaking being. As a matter of fact, if it's convenient, he'll often even steal them along for a while on his travels (Even if they secretly belong to somebody).

The basic premise of it is that there was a sheltered, small village on the outskirts of Ulrien. A ways away from it, a strange prominent tower belonging to a frightening old man overlooks the town. There were many mysteries and rumors about this man and his tower. Most of them circling around him being a crazy old scientist who created monsters and abominations, hoping to do things from stealing children away to ending the world. The tower and the rumors around it are the center piece, mystery, and taboo of the town.

One day, the town was raided by a notorious gang. In the mess, a very small and very young Seto ended up separated from his parents. Trying to escape from the raiders, he found himself at the tower, and taken in by the old man that lived there. He comes to find that some of the rumors were true about the tower. It did indeed have some rather spooky technology and magick, and the man did have a few nuts loose. However, despite being creepy, the technology and the magick was not evil, nor was the man. With Seto believing his parents were dead, the man still had enough heart and sanity to take the little boy in.

As the town recovered from the raid, Seto grew up in the tower. For whatever reason, he was rarely let outside. The only times he found his feet touching grass was when he was sent out to do chores. And even then, he was forbidden to speak to anybody or be involved in any event. Just do the chore and get back. Being only around the old man for years, he was tutored in the strange technology and magicks the man had, but he also kind of adopted some of the man's loose screwed thoughts on the world. That they were superior beings to the world, the world is full of ignorant people that need to be instructed, and such. Eventually the old man died, and Seto was left to take over, and he did... with many changes.

Hungry for the world after being cramped in that tower for so long, he chose to live life as a traveler, to see all of the world. The tower is still home though, whenever he completes his rounds around Escantha.

As for the town next to the village, they still believe an old mad man scientist lives there.

Relationships:

Lyra: For a little while Seto's family lived in Vidarus where he got to meet a young girl with weird abilities. They grew close, and eventually deemed each other as the siblings. Unfortunately, he was separated from her when his family moved back to Ulrien and.... things happened. Over the course of the tournament, he fought through obstacle and opponent to get his name out so his name would become known and she could find him. Unfortunately, that dream wasn't to last, and on one corrupt night, he was betrayed with a lie that made all his effort, everything he gave up, for nothing.

Siria: Met during a tournament. Doesn't like her for the fact she slapped him back for something he felt was justified, then got into an intense argument with her. From now on she can't seem to avoid arguing with him and finding what his business is about.

Rose: Strange girl that has shown a lot of interest in him, and even saved him at a ball (granted, he saved her first at an earlier time). She's nosy, but at least not as annoying as he finds Siria to be.

Tsubaki: Seto is a looter, a collector of oddities and artifacts, while Tsubaki is a guardian of ruins in Rindrir who hates people stealing from them.... Yeah, they hate each other's guts. She's on a constant mission to kick his butt.

For the past few weeks however, she and her seemed to have been able stand Seto enough to travel alongside. It's not the most peaceful relationship, but so far it has kept the looter from getting himself killed.

Ansel: To Seto, he's annoying, lecturing, and geek wrapped into one and the hero appreciates his company as much as Ansel appreciates his. There's no arguing though, when they've been stuck together for so long alongside Tsubaki and Luther. He mostly keeps Seto out of trouble like the ruin girl, but unlike her, the redhead is more than willing to fight back. And with the poor guy's extreme phobia of germs, Seto has got more than enough taunting for him.

Vikenti: Mr. Unicorn of Joy isn't so joyful. Although Seto hasn't discovered his name, he's run into him numerous times. To Seto he's an annoying yet amusing character at the same time. Lot's of talk but little traveling experience to back it up, and the red head has made up for it twice.

Zerrick: Zerrick quite frankly annoys him. Just his light-hearted humor gets on his nerves. Especially, when he links it to the humiliation he got at the ball. However, he acknowledges the identity they share as drakkons and the times Zerrick has saved him before he cracks some snarky remark at him.

Bachi: One of Seto's least favorite people. Their first meeting was technically fighting against a dragon, where he got a sight for the summoners skills. He has just gotten friendlier since then... and it really ticks Seto off.
