Abilities

- Golems - ***
His main glorifying ability as an animist to bring life to the steel sculptures he creates and summon them when needed. Has a large assortment to choose from, but depending on how strong a golem is it can be draining on his magick. Like swinging a sword, he can throw a few golems out there but his magick will tire and slowly lose it's ability to recover summon after summon. Seto usually needs size-able breaks between summons. Finally, if a summon is too big, it has the risk of gaining a mind of it's own. Something kind of like that dragon he's riding on up there. ;3

- Overheat - **
Unlike a lot of users of the fire element, Seto does not have the ability to instantly create fire or shoot balls of flame. Instead, he speeds up the vibration of atoms around him to make them excruciatingly hot. He has used his ability plenty of times to meld his golems and other things without need of a furnace. However, the atoms of each element are different and anything besides the golems he's practiced for so long on require closer distance and more concentration.

Seto is currently working on heating air in hopes of a searing barrier in the future, a rather hard thing to tame seeing how free flowing that subject matter is.

- Metal Stalagmites - *
Summons metal from the ground to skewer opponents and act as shields. Seeing as this as a very new ability, it's very difficult to do and very rarely works, so it isn't tried until things get desperate.

- Wrist Blade - *
When his magick is exhausted or unavailable, or perhaps the opponent is too fast for his golems to keep him guarded he'll summon a blade onto his wrist to act doubly as sword and shield. Because it's bulky, the weapon cannot deal blows fast without strength and close combat skill, neither which Seto has. A last resort item.

- Gun - *
Has a gun. Shoots once if it looks he can get the upper hand and has the perfect lucky shot, but he's not a gunslinger. Has poor aim, and the gun is another last resort item.

Personality
==============================

At face value, Seto is the character you would least expect in such a position like the on call hero for Ulrien. Very aloof, sarcastic, and with a bit of an ego to boot, he is far from the spitting image of all that is good. Not that he necessarily wouldn't want it that way. He still finds it somewhat of a bizarre incident that he climbed through the tournament of a lifetime to become this hero.

Once a free traveler unconcerned with government, he sometimes mourns that life he lost to take on those affairs. The good old days when he didn't have to wear a disguise to avoid stares and whispering among groups.... if they didn't all charge in at once. He continues to live as best as he could to his old life through travel and costume but alas, messenger pigeons for help can't be ignored.

While most of him is naturally uncaring and a bit selfish (even immature at times), Seto isn't all entirely bad. The qualities that redeemed him were the qualities which carried into story since the tournament, leaving behind a tale of a very heroic man. Though he'd rather not be known for such things, behind the selfish loner of a person is somebody who can't stand people getting hurt before his eyes. Though, don't have him mistaken. 'Hurt' is not the lack of strength to get a gallon of milk to the market in time. As unselfish as the rumors bring him out to be, Seto still prefers not to be mistaken for an errand boy.

By his lonesome, Seto is an inventor, an excavator, a looter... and generally a nerd. He's most always carrying some new and weird item around in his pack, and if a person doesn't mind his elitist critiques, the redhead will even occasionally break his loner attitude to talk about his finds. Though, it's not quite recommended to get between him and those finds.

Background

COPAH PASTAH!.... Will likely being going through and updating majorly but yeah.

The basic premise of it is that there was a sheltered, small village on the outskirts of Ulrien. A ways away from it, a strange prominent tower belonging to a frightening old man overlooks the town. There were many mysteries and rumors about this man and his tower. Most of them circling around him being a crazy old scientist who created monsters and abominations, hoping to do things from stealing children away to ending the world. The tower and the rumors around it are the center piece, mystery, and taboo of the town.

One day, the town was raided by a notorious gang. In the mess, a very small and very young Seto ended up separated from his parents. Trying to escape from the raiders, he found himself at the tower, and taken in by the old man that lived there. He comes to find that some of the rumors were true about the tower. It did indeed have some rather spooky technology and magick, and the man did have a few nuts loose. However, despite being creepy, the technology and the magick was not evil, nor was the man. With Seto believing his parents were dead, the man still had enough heart and sanity to take the little boy in.

As the town recovered from the raid, Seto grew up in the tower. For whatever reason, he was rarely let outside. The only times he found his feet touching grass was when he was sent out to do chores. And even then, he was forbidden to speak to anybody or be involved in any event. Just do the chore and get back. Being only around the old man for years, he was tutored in the strange technology and magicks the man had, but he also kind of adopted some of the man's loose screwed thoughts on the world. That they were superior beings to the world, the world is full of ignorant people that need to be instructed, and such. Eventually the old man died, and Seto was left to take over, and he did... with many changes.

Hungry for the world after being cramped in that tower for so long, he chose to live life as a traveler, to see all of the world. The tower is still home though, whenever he completes his rounds around Escantha.

As for the town next to the village, they still believe an old mad man scientist lives there.
