NOOOOOOO!!!! G36 BAAAAAAADDDDDDDD!!! Never use the G36 as inspiration!!! Augh!!!
Looks good, I just hate the G36.
I'm assuming it's 7.62x51mm?

It's 7,62 but why do you hate the G36?

Because the G36 was made to look cool in videogames, and it really isn't an improvement over the AR-15 in any way, shape or form.
Now the ACR... that's an improvement.
I mean, G36s will melt if you fire them for too long.
I liked HKs stuff until they got egotistical. Which was about the 80s.

No weapon is perfect but I really like the G36 because it's the standard issue of my country's army. But the ACR seems really to be a good weapon.

Ah... I see.
Well...
I still dislike it strongly.
I mean, they didn't even put heatshields in the handguards, it can't mount anything known to man, and the regular sights get all effed up.
But it looks cool.
I do not like the G36. I'm not a terrible fan of the AR, either, but at least it doesn't melt.
Aren't your machine guns MG36s? Those melt too!

We don't use the MG36, we use MG3 ase medium machineguns and I think we will use the H&K MG4 soon as light squad weapon.

Well, that's good at least. The G36 I can handle. Especially since it's your army's gun. But the MG36 is a failure in pretty much every respect. That's why we didn't adopt the XM8 (which is a derivative of the G36 series). The MG3 is basically an MG42 in 7.62 NATO, correct? I've heard decent reports of the MG4, so I think it'll be okay. Of course, our M249 is a POS.
The AR-15/M16/M4 series has matured okay. But the Masada/ACR is hands down better than any of the other conventional-layout rifles out there, and a lot of the bullpups. I'd love to see a bullpup rifle with the features of the ACR.
However, the ACR is not a big enough development to get adopted by anyone other than the SOCOM, and they've already committed to the SCAR.

Right, the MG3 is the NATO brother of the MG42. But what is POS? Remember I am not speaking english as my mother tongue so please don't use this abbreviations.

No problem. I don't mean to use jargon and colloquialisms (things people say if they're from a certain region) but I slip up sometimes.
I'm actually surprised that the Bundeswehr didn't adopt the HK36 (not to be confused with the G36) or HK41.
They seemed like logical avenues for that military to go. But I guess the Army was awaiting the G11, which made HK go bankrupt.

I think the G11 was HK's real last great firearm. Everything I've seen since... doesn't impress.
Still, why didn't HK resurrect the HK41 after its tenure with the L85?
It seems like a logical avenue to go.

They're okay, but I wouldn't call them the best, by a long shot.
I think even FN does a better job.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of Magpul. They actually consider their user base, which includes US civilians (whom HK will not market to, grrr...). I tried developing a weapon system that would be the best conventional-layout assault rifle, with all the best features of all the weapons used previously. I did this partially with the Magpul ACR in mind, but not in a big way. Guess what? What I came up with was slightly worse than the ACR, overall. If you look at my "Talon Marksman Rifle" you'll see what I'm talking about.

Maybe it's just patriotism with H&K but you must admid that they once built the best. It might also be the influence my father had on me because he served in the Bundeswehr and just loved his G3,which of course was made by H&K.

I like the G3 design a lot, and I've heard excellent reports of the PSG and MP-5, which were both based on the G3.
However, the G3 is roughly equivalent to the FAL, so it's not really "the best", though I think for most intents and purposes outside match shooting they beat out the M14.
As far as innovation in design goes, the G11 is about the most innovative they've produced, and it's definitely something to look at, even if it's a bit more complex than it needed to be.
Honestly, no company can claim the sort of true innovation that John Moses Browning was capable of, but a few can come rather close, and I think I could count HK among them, if only for the G11.
Kalashnikov is probably my favorite designer still alive, but he hasn't done anything with his designs since the 50s. I think the Saiga-12 was designed by his son, but I could be wrong. If I am, then the Saiga-12 certainly qualifies.
Stoner was okay, but he couldn't see past his own designs sometimes.
I really like L. James Sullivan, who has designed most of the really successful recoil-reducing systems out there, and, like I said before, Magpul is really good at just producing a great product for their end-users.

As I said it's probably just pride because, you know "H&K is just in the same country and almost everyone loves their weapons". I don't say anything else is bad but I just like H&K most. I think everyone has his favourite producer for reasonable or not reasonable motives. And just for having this said, I really enjoy talking to another gunnut about such things.

Well, I think the US has an edge because we have a lot more people in this country that actually use firearms, and designers are more likely to be firearms users themselves than anywhere else in the world.
Fair enough.
And I enjoy talking to you too, a foreign perspective is good.
Though I must say, I really do identify with Kalashnikov's way of thinking, and I like him personally better than others.

He also made several other designs, which are equally interesting.

It's almost imposssible for citizens to get any kind of firearm. You need to have a "Waffenschein" (Firearmlicense) which costs money and is quiet hard to get because you have to prove that you need a weapon for self-protection or hunting and things like that.

Yeah, if you want to shoot the really awesome stuff, go to Las Vegas or plan your trip during the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in October and, I want to say, April. It's in Kentucky. Vegas has a lot of machine guns for rent, so you can go there and find an MG range and shoot to your wallet's contents.
Knob Creek is the largest civilian machine gun shoot in the world, and there are many rare and unique firearms to be shot there.
But if you just want to come over here and get started, then a range trip with a friend would be good, too.
Hey, have you ever actually shot before?

That sucks. When you get over here, the first thing you should head for is a range with a rentable .22LR rifle. Get someone to teach you (if they have a .22, and they most likely will, borrowing that is good). Get comfortable shooting and then find yourself something fun to do, whether it be trap shooting or machine gun shooting (by the way, how big are you? I want to know what kind of gun you can handle).

Probably not as bad as I, but I'm just trying to gauge what you can handle.
You're probably in the same bracket as I, and I can shoot a 12 gauge all day comfortably, so once you get the hang of things, you should be fine with just about anything you pick up.

I have shot:
Several different types of .22 LR guns, including revolvers and semi-automatics.
Mossberg Model 88 (basically the cheaper version of the 500)
Mosin-Nagant M1891/30
Remington 870 Riot Shotgun
AR-7 (this is a survival gun in .22LR)
Avtomat Kalashnikova Model M70B2 (often known as a "Yugo" AK), semi-auto import version.
Smith and Wesson Model 59 (It's a pistol, similar to your Army's P38).
H&H break-open 20 gauge.
I think that's about it. Keep in mind I'm 17 and don't get to shoot a lot.

He's not gunsmith. You can modify guns to your hearts content (Just not to full-auto or short-barreled without paying a tax, and in the case of full-auto, getting a license. Yes, upwards of 150,000 Americans own full-auto weapons).

Here not even lights or lasers are allowed because you possibly could dazzle someone, this is of course much more dangerous than anything commin out of the barrel.^^ This even goes for softair. I think Germany is the same about guns as America about sex!
Just for general intrest are you for the democrates or a republican? And wht do you do, I mean job or school? (Sorry, if this should be too personal) It's just because you are the first person i've talked so much to on the Inet.

Wait, what? America about sex... What the Hell do you mean by that?
Does Europe think we're a bunch of prudes? Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!
Oh, well, I'm neither a Democrat (Liberal) or a Republican (Conservative). I am a libertarian, aligned with the group of Republicans that follow libertarian ideals. For instance, whereas a Democrat believes gay marriage should be allowed, but guns should not (I realize I am oversimplifying, I'm just trying to get you to understand) and Republicans believe that gay marriage should not be allowed but that guns should, I believe that both gay marriage (and polygamy, for that matter) and guns should be allowed.

Well you americans just have this reputation to be some of the most prudest of the world. Believe me german tv seems like softporn against almost all of your tv shows here. And suppressors are only available to law-enforcement and some few hunters. And I really can understand your political thoughts, if I were a US citizen I would probably think the same. I'm on the way to making my Abitur (it's not really comparable to any of your school degrees, but it's the highest "under-univerity" grade and qualifies for that.) But at the moment I have this and the next week of vacation until my 13. and final year starts.

We're milder than you, but we're not prudes. The only reason we're milder is because we're more diverse, anyway. Whenever something pushes the edge of one small group's sensibilities, they make a huge fuss and it gets taken off the air. We're really no more prude than you guys, though public exposure (flashing your boobies, etc. ) is liable to get you jail time.
Ah, I see. Well, I'm not moving to Germany any time soon.
That's only a few of my views, and libertarians don't have to be from the US. I'm not sure you'd agree with some of my other views (abolish welfare, no public healthcare, not social security), because Europeans like their socialism.
So you're the same grade as I am, essentially. Except you poor fools have one more year of high school than we do.

And I don't really get the US school system what are the diffrences between high school and college or college and university. I always see this stuff on TV but never understand it.
