Description
This version of Ariel was my first attempt to draw a familiar character without a tutorial, working only from basic principles. Strictly-speaking, since I had previously used tutorials to draw this character, I had more than basic principles to work from. To try offsetting this, I drew her from a unique angle that I didn't find in any other tutorials I had used. I drew this back in May when I was still learning the basics of character drawing. While I've learned quite a bit since then, I still have a long ways to go. I'm posting this more to showcase of what I can do using Inkscape and vector graphics than to show off my character drawing skills.
