In my case it was impossible not to find the crow interesting. I found the crow to be my animal totem (not by the solitary "rite found in the internet" way, you see), so you can guess how much things in common I have with them.

I've always been interested in them but my interest grew with research I was doing of the crow and its relatives while I was in school. I came across a book, forgot the name of it, with many anecdotes of peoples interactions with the crow.

This regal bird seems to be caught between two worlds: the royal one in which he is the BirdKing, and is bound by duty; and the "commoner" world, in which he can do as he likes, he can fly where he likes, he can perch in the limbs of any tree he desires. I think his heart is in the second world.
